Crowded House on Tour

Crowded House are a multi-platinum-selling Australian rock band who gained fame following their 1986 smash hit "Don't Dream It's Over," which has become one of the most covered songs of the last 20 years. Artists who have covered the song include Paul Young, Sixpence None the Richer, Stan Walker, and The Head and the Heart. These songs and the many that came after continue to resonate with audiences around the world decades later. After releasing their seventh studio album, 2021's Dreamers Are Waiting, Crowded House headed out on a North American tour, with international dates planned as well. The band's new album -- their first since 2011 -- and tour features founding members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour along with producer/keyboardist Mitchell Froom, guitarist and singer Liam Finn, and drummer Elroy Finn. Don't miss your chance to hear these classic songs, and new material, live. Get tickets to see Crowded House when they come to a city near you.

Crowded House Live in Concert

Formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1985 from the ashes of New Zealand's Split Enz by Neil Finn, Paul Hester and Nick Seymour, Crowded House released their self-titled debut album in 1986 on Capitol Records and went on to international success with hits "Don't Dream It's Over" and "Something So Strong." The first iteration of Crowded House was active from 1985 until 1996 and released four studio albums to much success worldwide. Audiences around the world were coming out in droves to see the band for their freewheeling and interactive live shows. The original lineup performed their legendary Farewell to the World concert in 1996 at the Sydney Opera House before 150,000 fans. In 2007, following the passing of original member Paul Hester, Finn and Seymour got Crowded House back together again with longtime touring member Mark Hart and new drummer Matt Sherrod. Their new album, Intriguer, was released in 2010, their last album before 2021's Dreamers Are Waiting. In 2016, Crowded House was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame and during that same time brought back their Farewell shows for four nights of live performances at the Sydney Opera House.

    by MyKidsDad on 2/8/24

I saw Crowded House at the historic Ryman Auditorium, I expected it would be great..... it was better than great. I can't wait for them to come back to the states, we will definitely be there again!

    Great as always

    by C. C. on 8/13/23

To those giving less than four stars, please stop going to concerts unless real fans. Any band worth their salt should play new stuff, the real fans want new songs. Real fans also buy their records and are excited for new material. As for the concert, sound at the Fox in Oakland very good, beautiful venue, and save some room for sidewalk food after the show. This isn’t a greatest hits tour, if it was it’d be two songs, Don’t Dream it Over and Something so Strong. So either get familiar with all their songs, or don’t bother going.

    Venue A+...Performance C-

by 80's junky on 6/5/23Boch Center Wang Theatre - Boston

I didnt know one song they played. All new stuff apparently. Why not sprinkle in the hits that put them on the charts? Keep us engaged? Instead we left before it was over.

    Lovely light-hearted evening out

by Racer22 on 6/3/23Boch Center Wang Theatre - Boston

Drove in from the 'burbs and found parking, dining and access to the venue, so easy and uncomplicated. No long lines for anything, including getting into the building, which was refreshing. The theater itself has wonderful architectural features on the interior. A beer and a glass of wine in hand we made it to our seats with friendly guidance from the ushers. The show itself was such a pleasure to witness, with the Finn family tossing out gentle barbs and general good humor in between their melodic and heartfelt tunes. Very enjoyable.

    Amazing and Fantastic

by Sarah Jane on 6/2/23Boch Center Wang Theatre - Boston

The harmonies, the intricate song construction, the next generation being strongly represented, Neil himself in fine voice (it must be several octaves), Mitchell Froom at last a member of the band, and Nick at last free to be exactly himself. Such an incredible, 24-song show. I wept when it opened with When You Come—such an intimate look at Neil & Sharon’s lives—and again when the band offered Fall at Your Feet. My husband and I are still talking about it.

    All I Wanted and More

by BobA on 6/2/23Boch Center Wang Theatre - Boston

My whole experience was fantastic. Great seats, chill crowd, wonderful acoustics and the band was super tight. A great Split Enz surprise at the end, for Boston.

    Great

They played all hits plus a new one. Only complaint is that it was a bit too loud

    Excellence, but not total greatness

by John on 6/2/23Boch Center Wang Theatre - Boston

Our twelfth row seats gave us good line of sight, but the sound could have been better. The highs were aggressive and the bass was blurred. The band was very tight, with flawless harmonies. The niggle is the material. CH's hits are among the most brilliant pop songs of the past 50 years. The new songs haven't had the chance of being the soundtrack to the audience's lives, but that's not the real issue. Not even the great Neil Finn can be expected to maintain the quality of his earlier compositions, and he hasn't. Despite this criticism, I was very glad to be at this show. The energy level was infectious, and the old familiar songs continue to thrill.
