Craig Chaquico is a wonderful guitar player/entertainer. His warmth and enthusiasm comes directly across the auditorium straight to the heart. Just the right amount of interesting and fun personal talk between the music. His acoustic tunes could have carried the evening and perhaps should have. I realize his earlier work with Starship showcases his talent as a lead guitarist, but music from his solo career is what I came to hear. I was delighted that he recognized an obvious fan in line and took the time to walk over and show that my being there mattered to him--I will use the pick he put in my hand with a smile.
I have seen Craig Chaquico several times. His show keeps getting better and better. He incorporates other musicians into his concert who are all highly professional. First half of show was his smooth jazz music. Second half was his Jefferson Starship/Starship music. Sounds just like recordings. If you get a chance, see his show. You will not be disappointed.
There are never enough words to describe how fantastic Criag is. This man never stops playing the entire show, and his energy is infectious! Jeff Kashiwa(sax) is great, I will be buying his music. Hope he and Craig do a full album together. Joan Burton(lead singer) is a joy to hear. She sings effortlessly and can really belt it out. Jesse Bradman(lead singer) was fantastic, also. Craig has played with great artists in the past and continues to. Highly recommend Craig's music and his friends music. FANTASTIC!!!!!!!
My wife and I expected a smooth jazz concert but what we got was way more entertaining. Craig's band was top notch. Craig coming out in the audience to play made us feel more closer to him (obviously). At the meet and greet afterward, he turned out to be genuine, personable and friendly (not full of himself like many other stars). He's the kind of guy you just want to sit down and have a beer with....love his music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tom
He started the concert standing in the aisle next to us playing a wireless guitar. His smooth jazz style music is very good. He sounded a little bit like Santana sometimes. He finished the set with his fender playing Starship songs. Since the concert was near Seattle he did Voodoo Child by Hendrix as a tribute. He interacted with the audience a lot. I was completely entertained the entire time.
Simply AMAZING. This man is talented. Sure hope I get a chance to hear him again.
I came to this show not expecting to be completely blown away by this amazing artist. Sure I had heard and liked the smooth jazz stuff playing regularly on the radio enough to check him out. It was a first visit to Snoqualmie Casino as well. I must say that Craig is a true virtuoso on that guitar. He's got the smooth jazz thing down but showed he hadn't forgotten his roots in blazing rock n roll guitar. I will definitley see him again. Great show!
From start to finish Craig blew the audience away with his virtuoso guitar licks. His smooth jazz sets and his reprise of several of his Jefferson Starship songs kept us on the edge of our seats. Super concert!
Absolutely one of the best shows I've ever been too. What an amazing musician and person!!!!
