Country rocker Corey Smith was born and raised in Jefferson, GA. He played the guitar and dabbled in garage bands as a teenager, but it wasn't until age 28 that Smith decided to quit his job as a high school teacher and pursue music full-time. His debut album, 2003's Undertones, spawned the popular single "Twenty One" and introduced his soulful voice and bluesy guitars to the country music world. Over the next decade he released six more albums, including 2011's The Broken Record, which debuted in the top 20 on Billboard's Country chart. 2014 was a banner year for Smith with the release of acoustic album Maysville In The Meantime and the kickoff of a nationwide tour full of energy-packed live performances.
Amazing concert by Corey as always. glad he still played his older songs that are the best! just wish he didn't come on so late, for people travelling from outside of the city on a tuesday night we had to leave early to catch trains and missed a good portion of the end of the show.
The connection between Corey and the fans was incredible. Everyone knew the songs and didn't hesitate to sing along. He's an amazing musician(writer/performer) and gives off a fun vibe..who also knew how to deal with people too drunk.. oddly enough it was one year one month and one day since I last saw him. You don't have to enjoy that Snapple fact but I do.
Amazing show. Corey smith always brings the house down when he plays. The only thing missing was the encore...
