Wonderful! Everyone should see Frankie Beverly at least once in their lifetime
This use to be an intimate experience, its grown so much that feeling jazz gone. The sound guy or system was horrible, set up and tear down between acts was too long...the entire show was 5 hours. While I enjoyed Jagged Edge and Maze, i was not all that impressed with the event.
Al the artist was good had a great time did 'nt care for people constintly walking back and forth betwen the tables.
Sound system was poor and it took to long to set up between acts.
I have been to numerous Classic Cabaret's, but this one maybe the Best! The only reason this event does not receive '5' stars is because the sound system was not adequate for such a large venue.
Although, Frankie has some medical issues going on. I will continue to support him as long as he has the strength to grace us with his presence. He is and always will be No. ! in my book.
My husband and I attended the cabaret and we had a blast. All the performers were great but the one that will stick with us forever is Frankie Beverly. He gets down and at 67 I don't see how he does it. Everyone was up on their feet jammin and Frankie never missed a beat.
This was my first time attending the Classic and I really enjoyed myself and I am planning on attending next year!
I enjoyed Johnny Gill but Charlie Wilson put on an unforgettable show.
Was expecting a decent show....turned out great! All the acts were great starting with Rolls Royce. They did so many songs besides "Carwash" that I totally forgot about! They were good and great to see them still around. Johnny Gill was awesome and yes.. even without New Edition. Would pay to see him as a main act. He puts on a great show and should do more concerts. He seemed not afraid to mingle and participate with the audience...and there was a lot of audience participation! Very personable performer..probably best I've seen as far as partipation..he became part of the audience! Charlie Wilson was a show by himself. He's been in business a long time...seen him 3x's in the last 2-3 yrs..never dissapointed.
