Great performance, the venue was trash!
by J. A. on 10/11/23After having to stand in the lobby over an hr with the majority of concert goers being elderly. We were told the wait was due to mic checks and were finally let in the venue. The show was already 30 mins behind when we had to sit through a comedian (who was funny) then a saxophonist who did several songs (he was also good). Finally after more delays and more mic checks Club Nouveau came on and started performing and once again mic problems. They had to stop too many times to count but remained professional and they sound as good as back in the day. Then when they finished there were more mic problems before ConFunkShun came on and turned it out! Everyone was on there feet throughout their performance. Unfortunately, with all the technical difficulties they didn’t get to perform as long as they wanted to since there’s a noise ordinance cut off of 11pm in that neighborhood. I will definitely see them again just never at The Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center! Steer clear of that venue.
