    Not worth the money

by jenny on 11/1/23Fisher Theatre - Detroit

I’ve been looking forward to seeing this show for years, because I love the music… but I picked the wrong production. It was a huge disappointment. There was no reason to make the lead character a woman, and the person playing the role was unfortunately not dynamic or interesting. A good singing voice is not enough to carry a Broadway show. Not everything needs to be changed because it’s a new century - especially Sondheim. Next time I’ll look for a production that is more true to the original.

    Yawn

by JH on 10/31/23Fisher Theatre - Detroit

Can't really tell if the show wasn't very interesting, or was it the road cast. Either way, it was a real snooze and not worth the time or the money.

This was awesome! I was prepared for so-so but it left me wanting mo-mo! I went to the beach and found that I love the Company sound!

    Boring

by Donna on 10/29/23Fisher Theatre - Detroit

Meh. 10% was hilarious but not enough to carry the other 90% to no fault of the performers. My seat mates left at intermission. I would have moved over but I think the one in the best seat had the plague. I talked to quite a few people tonight and they all felt the same. (Not about the plague but the play) Including the young couple walking out with me. He told his lady, "You owe me." Fun Fact: talked to another woman I met over the weekend. She and a friend saw Company the Sunday before and left at intermission too.

    Boring

I slept on and off through the first half of the show. It picked up some after the intermission. The story line left something to be desired. I did not find it all that funny and it didn't hold my attention. I only liked the set design. I would not recommend.

    Disappointed

by Cb on 10/24/23Fisher Theatre - Detroit

No story line, so much repetition, felt dated focusing on being married, not funny. Excellent voices though

    Perfect show!!

Company was sooooo good!! Classic Sondheim!! The songs are all incredible and the cast does a superb job with them. The changes in the show fit nicely --just a truly magical show.

    Great show!

by Broadway Joe on 10/22/23Fisher Theatre - Detroit

The entire cast is excellent especially “Bobbie” and “Joanna”. I finally got to understand the context of songs that I’ve loved for years. Thanks Stephen Sondheim! ❤️
