Bruce Bruce and Earthquake took the show. Sommore and Domonique were also great. I didn't like the way the entrance was set up and the person sitting behind me talked throughout the show.
The show was okayyyy...didn't seem as organized as historically. Tony Rock like had the exact same material....same old shit about lesbians and his dick. He needs some new material. Bruce Bruce was good but seemed rushed. Simore did her thing, the other lady was good also. Overall the show was cool but could use some sprucing up. When people come to see a show with a line up that has previously been to town we expect fresh new material.
The show was not only prompt at 8pm but the staff was organized also. Food & drinks were very good. Sommore did a superb job as host & all the comics had me rolling. I was particularly impressed with Gary Owen who had a bit of laryngitis but still came out with some thing to drink to help his voice & perform as normal. Very well done. Will be back when the tour come back to the NO!
It was really funny. Bruce Bruce was the best!! Rated a 4 because I saw one of the comedians do the same act before and another comedian was not funny at all. Overall, this was a great show worth seeing.
I enjoyed the show .great humor ....would like to enjoy more comedy shows at the Lake Front Area
This show was so good. Everybody killed it. Laughed until I cried.
Really enjoyed the show. Everyone was super funny. Will definitely go again if the show returns to N.O.
We were disappointed that nowhere in the promotional material leading up to the event were pictures of the performers or any hint that this was an all African-American show. It wasn't until 2 days before the show that I found out this information. Since I had already paid for the tickets, we went anyway and were two of maybe a dozen Caucasian attendees there. Not only did we feel culturally and racially out of place, we didn't understand much of the humor either. Overall we will avoid events at the Lakefront Arena unless there is much more information about them.
I THOUGHT THE SHOW WAS GREAT, MY HUSBAND COULD NOT STOP CRYING. i'M A HUGE BRUCE BRUCE AND DOMINIQUE FAN...THEY WERE ALL AWESOME, EVEN GARY OWENS AND HE WAS SICK.
This show was really awesome. All of the comedians were really funny. I really enjoyed it and would see all of them again
