    Amazing

    by sweetdiva25 on 2/19/12Township Auditorium - Columbia

What can I say? They have don it again...amazing. I'm about to turn 30 and no one my age appreciates this type of music genre much less going to a blues concert, they think it's all old people and only for old people. This is my 2nd blues festival, I went last year for the 1st time and enjoyed it then. I went alone as always and still enjoyed myself. I have been a fan of Sir Charles Jones since I was a sophomore in undergrad, last year was my first time seeing him perform. He is very handsome, sexy, talented and has such an old soul to be such a young man. I loved the way he kept flicking out his incredibly long tongue, that was very sexy!! I wish I have could have taken a pic with him. Theodis Ealy was good, that was my 1st time seeing him and he was not what I expected., I thought he would be a heavyset gentleman but he was tall and thin, nonetheless he was great. Mel Waiters never disappoints. Floyd Taylor looks and sounds just like his dad, amazing. Shirley Brown, a firecracker and loves the Lord, beautiful voice! Overall, I loved it and would highly recommend!

    REVIEW

For the money, it wasnt worth it. I guess since Marvin Sease had just passed away, it put a damper on the entire event. I expected it to last longer and it seems like some acts were missing. Next time, I will get seats on the floor. the seats that are in the balcony are way too far from the stage.

I enjoyed the show very much. I will be there next year if they have it and I will tell all who did not go how good it was.

    Disapointed

    by CE77 on 3/16/11Township Auditorium - Columbia

I went to the blues festival at the Township Auditorium in Columbia. My date and I were just getting into the show when the ushers interrupted our whole row to make my date and me move because they had sat us in the wrong place. Of course from there it was a domino effect. We had to move, then another couple had to move and it became a big inconvience for everyone in the vicinity. The venue is too small and the seating is like flying coach on JetBlue. Except for Lattimore I thought the talent was fair at best. I won't attend another function at that place.

The show was fantastic. I enjoyed each group but my favorite was the Manhattans. Everyone in the audiance was having a great time, dancing, singing, etc. My husband and I were a little late but we had great seats and had a wonderful time. I purchased the tickets for my husband, it was our third anniversary. We will be attending more events at the Township Auditorium.

    outstanding!

by jnellie on 3/15/11Township Auditorium - Columbia

It was a great show although deslike it when you have people in the front row standing up and your only view is their behind instead of the show.
