COLOR ME BADD IN CONCERT:

R&B vocal group Color Me Badd dominated early '90s airwaves with their razor-sharp harmonies, badd boy image, and steamy chart-toppers like "I Wanna Sex You Up" and "I Adore Mi Amor". The group called it quits in 2000 but got back together in 2011, treating fans to a string of reunion performances that proved they remain as grind-worthy as ever. Since then they've announced a new album -- their first in more than a decade -- while continuing to get ticket buyers sweating with career-spanning performances on tour. Whether they're taking fans down memory lane with their '90s classics or debuting new material, the boys of Color Me Badd always have fans feeling the love at their live shows on tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Color Me Badd formed in Oklahoma City in the late ‘80s while its four members were still in high school. After relocating to New York City the quartet became an overnight sensation when their debut single “I Wanna Sex You Up” was featured in the hit film New Jack City and subsequently topped the R&B charts. Their rise continued with follow-up singles “I Adore Mi Amor” and “All 4 Love”, two No. 1 pop hits that helped their debut album C.M.B reach triple-platinum sales. Their sophomore album Time and Chance went platinum as well, spawning popular singles like “Choose” and “The Bells”. Color Me Badd continued to land singles on the charts with two more albums released in the late ‘90s, but in 2000 the band called it quits. They got back together in 2011, thrilling fan with a reunion tour and the announcement of a return to the studio. Since then they’ve continued to keep fans guessing, delivering pitch-perfect performances on tour while working on their highly anticipated new album.

Only one background singer is left

    by j. w. on 8/17/21

The leads of CMB are gone and all that’s left is Mark from the original band. The lead voice Bryan is gone. Sam the 2nd lead is gone. The bass is gone Kevin. That leaves Mark who has a good voice but isn’t CMB by himself. The back ground dancers are good but this isn’t what I grew up with.

    Meh

by K. on 7/15/19Neal S Blaisdell Concert Hall - Honolulu

Too much talking in between acts and it really affected the flow of the whole concert. NU flavor was good...SHAI was amazing...Color Me Badd was just bad. Should’ve ended with SHAI who was the headlining act and therefore should’ve done most of the songs.

    The concert was ok

by J. on 7/15/19Neal S Blaisdell Concert Hall - Honolulu

The bands were good but what I didn’t like is people trying to sit in seats that they didn’t pay for. I think security has to do a better job in regulating that.

Ok, all members not present and one member off and on stage

by I&B on 5/17/19L’Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge - Baton Rouge

Floor area could have at least Tall Bar tables to set drinks on rather holding drink in hand entire show

    CMB/TONE LOC

by ks on 3/5/19Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas City

The show started late and ended earlier than I expected. Seemed to be a lot of empty seats. CMB lead singer kept having "microphone issues", and I know they are older now, but the vocals just didn't seem to be there. I enjoyed the dance moves though. The background music seemed to overpower the vocals, couldn't hear the singing very well. Tone Loc was great, just didn't sing enough songs. Asking the audience on stage was a cool move, exciting to have the chance to get close to the singer. It was fun to go back in time and be nostalgic, just wish it would have lasted longer.

    Disappointed!!!

by Bonmarie on 6/30/18Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls - Black River Falls

While it brought me back to the 90s to see C&C Music Factory and Color Me Badd, it was not what I expected. There were no instruments at all...not even a DJ. The performers basically just sang to a recording. The stage was disappointing in that there was nothing to look at besides a white backdrop. I feel Color Me Badd didn't take their performance seriously at all, as they brought up a whole bunch of people from the crowd to just dance on stage, which was distracting and not what I paid to see. I would really think twice before going to an event at this venue again. In addition, I don't drink alcohol and my only option for a soda was Diet Mountain Dew. I was told I couldn't have anything from the fountain soda machine...that was for mixed drinks only...what?!

    90s was rockin

by MsSmiley1 on 6/18/18Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls - Black River Falls

The concert was awesome! I knew not many people would show which was better for me. I took some girls from work that knew nothing about either group and they had a blast. Can't wait for another concert to come here.

    Only 2

by sactowngal88 on 2/20/18MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa - South Lake Tahoe

Disappointing.. of 4 member's only 2 were there. If you are adverting a band and half arent there that should have been advertised . And they only played 3 songsof their and the rest were them having tthe audience sing karaoke to other songs. The opening acts were great and so was the dj. The music the dj played was fun!
