    Ain't That America

by BEldredge on 7/15/16Blue Ocean Music Hall - Salisbury

My wife and I went to see another band but became instant fans of Ain't That America. We didn't realize how many John Cougar songs we knew and loved. We danced and sang along to every song they played and they sounded exactly like John Cougar or better! They had the entire placed on their feet and had great energy....so much fun and we can't wait to see them again. Thank you for a great stroll down memory lane!

Cold As Ice Was Amazing!!! All 3 bands were great

by ClassicRockForLife on 7/4/16Blue Ocean Music Hall - Salisbury

Wow... A record show and a rock concert... what a cool concept! Before the bands started we had time to browse some vintage vinyl records... pleased to see everything from Kiss to Pink Floyd, and of Course John Mellencamp, J Geils, and Foreigner! First band up was Ain't That America with a spot-on recreations of John Mellencamp's biggest Hits. Mandolin, accordions and fiddle playing - they had it all. Every time they went into a new song, the crowd screemed as they recognized it. Next up was Danny Klein's Full House Band a Tribute to his own band - The J. Geils Band! Playing all old school Geils from Give It To Me To House Party. Seeing A Founding and still-current member of J. Geils onstage was a blast for the Crowd, singing along will full enthusiasm. Could it get any better? Wow... Then the stage darkened, a video screen came down and show's headliner - Cold As Ice - was introduced by the one and only Lou Gramm - The Voice of Foreigner! As the screen went up it revealed the band's guitarist Bruce Bennett belting out the opening Guitar riff to "Long Long Way From Home"... we all knew right then this was going to be AWESOME! Song after Song, hit after hit, the crowd soaked up every bit of energy coming off of the stage, singing sometimes louder than the band's PA system... Dave Clark Jr., The lead vocalist hit note for note all the songs that were the soundtrack of this audience's life... The Mighty Joe McMahon rocked on drums like no other, as Joe Pettengil and his bass dominated the stage and covering every inch during his performance, while Rich McMahon managed all of the best synth and Keyboard sounds since the 70s!!! OMG What a Show!!! If you haven't seen Cold As Ice, and you love the music of Foreigner, this is a must-see show!
