COAST MODERN IN CONCERT:
SoCal chill wave outfit Coast Modern pairs lo-fi beats with laid-back vocals to deliver a vibed-out take on Golden State pop traditions. The duo has only released a handful of singles, but they're already touring the country on the strength of instant classics like "Guru" and "Hollow." In concert Luke Atlas and Colemann Trapp keep things simple, performing with an acoustic guitar and a sampler while they tag-team vocal duties. Their setup is minimal but the impact is huge as they conjure up an intoxicating blend of hip hop and reggae-influenced jams for dancing fans. With their full-length debut album generating buzz in 2016, Coast Modern has ticket buyers eager to get a taste of the new material on tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Luke Atlas and Colemann Tripp met in Los Angeles in 2013 while working as songwriters for other artists. After several years in the trenches of the LA hitmaking scene, a disillusioned Trapp retreated to Colorado and began penning songs for himself. He sent them to Atlas, who added his own touches, and before long Coast Modern was born. Trapp returned to LA and the duo began working on the project full-time, passing up songwriting gigs in order to craft their own unique vision. Their 2015 debut single was a hit with critics, and the praise kept coming in 2016 thanks to buzzworthy singles like "Animal" and impressive performances on tour supporting bands like BØRNS and The Wombats. Coast Modern signed to 300 Entertainment in mid-2016, and fans can't wait for their highly anticipated debut on the label.
Venue was very nice but we waited there for multiple hours before the show to guareente front row and we ended up in second because they failed to tell us that there was an early access group. Also the venue greeter was not the nicest. The show itself was unforgettable with unbelievably talented opening acts. Loved meeting them after the show , great people.
The whole thing was so great. They had a long set list which was fantastic and had openers that did a fantastic job interacting with the crowd. 10/10
This was honestly the best concert I have ever been to. Before the show started they decided to do a talent show with their fans who signed up which was really funny and cool that they wanted us up on stage! Their two openers were really freaking good. We also got to meet them after the show and take pictures, they were very nice!

Coast Modern has a vibe you can't get anywhere else. They're high energy gets the crowd moving and feeling every song. Many people around me commented on lead singer Coleman's fun interaction with the crowd and described guitarist Luke's performance as "rock star." The sound was strong and delivered a terrific experience similar to their singles. After the show, the duo was very kind with meeting fans and signing autographs. I can't recommend their show enough.
Their show was awesome.....Sound as good live as their online videos....Cannot wait to see them live again
