What a unique and fantastic show. Great dancing and singing and fabulous elaborate and colourful costumes. Wonderful performances. Thoroughly entertaining.
A Fantastic Show!!! Keep it up Shumka! Everyone should see this show!
The nutcracker was well worth the money but i was wondering why we had to pay in american dollars as we are in Canada
Less formal but more fun than the Alberta ballet version. Dancers had wonderful energy and audience involvement was encouraged (clapping and hollering). Not as serious as the Alberta ballet version, music was recorded (rather than orchestra) but the dancing and costumes were no less professional. I would recommend this as an excellent family holiday experience.
I have been to all of the Shumka nutcrackers and this is by far the most spectacular and amazing rendition of it
What a wonderful performance. Shumka did a great job! My grandchildren were just mesmerized.
I loved all the dancing - particularly the Irish dancers and Ukrainian dancers. First time seeing it!
I loved the Ukrainian costumes and dance woven into the traditional story. The choir was lovely as well. I had been wanting to go to this for several years but could never match it with my travel schedule. I'm so glad I was finally able to see it. If you love Ukrainian dance or just beautiful performances than I would highly recommend this.
Think Tim Burton or Neil Gaiman meets the Nutcracker. It's Clara's nightmare and a wickedly fun one. Rats come out of Mother Ginger's dress instead of Bon Bons and Imp Dolls frame the storyline. The Arabian scene was incredibly beautiful. While some moments were a less exciting, others were just amazing. A joy to watch!
