Great competition and great venue for this game! The weather was perfect and the football was exciting. A little disappointing that the cheap seats cost so much considering the stadium wasn't half full. But I hope this will be an annual event between UC and VA Tech!

    VT vs Cincinnati

    by Mike141 on 10/3/12FedExField - Landover

Overall, the day was great. Fed Ex Field had their stuff in one sock as far as traffic was concerned. Stadium staff very good. Two big problems that dragged down my rating: First, they were very skimpy with the Porta Johns considering the number of tailgaters. Long walks to the Johns and very long lines. Didn't affect me because we brought a cabana tent and our own porta potty. Second was the refusal of the NCAA to release the game time until a week prior to the game. Big inconvenience. Fix those two problems and my rating would be a five star.

    Va Tech vs Cincinnati

by Damnlefty on 10/3/12FedExField - Landover

The seats were great and it was a great day for some football! Unfortunately, for us Tech fans, we lost the game at the very end when it looked like we were going to win...:( The Cincinnati fans were fun to talk to and even though we lost, we still had a great time! Go Hokies!!!

NOTHING BETTER THAN VT FOOTBALL AT FEDEX FIELD

    by HO87KIE on 10/3/12FedExField - Landover

The crowd, stadium, everything was perfect. Couldn't ask for a better game or atmosphere.

    not worth the price

    by mikeL60 on 10/3/12FedExField - Landover

The game was fine. The cost of the seats coupled with the charge for parking made this not such a great value. $40.00 to park?? No clear signs directing you to which will call window you need to go to if you bought your tickets from TicketMaster.

    Amazing Game! Poor Experience... Kinda.

by PredatorsFan on 10/2/12FedExField - Landover

The game was incredible. If you're a VT fan, probably not so much, but exciting nonetheless! Vendors were quick and efficient. We came in from Old Town on the metro and I actually enjoyed the walk from the station to FedEx field, but they should do some sort of shuttle. I am sure the Redskins owner could figure out how to make it equally as profitable as parking tolls. The Ultimate Fan Zone Experience was a joke. Trying to get in required asking 4 different very rude people all without a clue. The best was the one gatekeeper who said... "Nope Strike One" and didn't even offer a solution. When we finally found out how to get our wrist band they were not ready. All that may have been an error that started at the will call office, who knows? No one had any answers. The food was what it was, it's good bbq, soft drinks were easy to get. Although, I wouldn't consider the beer and liquor "on special" as advertised. I would rather have brought a cooler on the train and partied it up in the parking lot and then gone to get some food. All in all the game was great, facilities were awesome, the girl at the guest services area was super, there is just some communication and customer service issues that really need addressed. I might do it again, but I will probably skip the Ultimate Fun Zone. With the experience I had and the lack of help until the very end at the customer services window it has zero value at the price point it is at.

    Good event, bad seats

    by HokieGirl33 on 10/2/12FedExField - Landover

Attending the Virginia Tech game was a lot of fun! Purchasing tickets was quick and easy, and printing them at home was very convenient. Even though VT lost, this was a very enjoyable event. Now for the bad news. I purchased 4 tickets. Two of the seats that I received tickets for no longer exist in the stadium. They have been removed, but Ticketmaster hasn't updated their seating chart. Luckily this game was not sold out, and the ushers allowed us to move to other available seats in the area, but if there had not been other seats available this would have been a serious issue.

VT game was painful but memorable.

by PeteyBaby on 10/2/12FedExField - Landover

Game was great. The was my first experience at Fed Ex field, so wasn't sure what to expect. Commute in was uneventful and easier than expected. Did not have any concrete parking plans prior but parking staff helped direct me to open spots for tailgating. Obtained a decent spot for tailgating close to the stadium. Seats were good but upper level and pretty high up. It was very strange that this was a cincy "home game" and therefore the endzones had cincy insignia, cincy marching band was present, and all shots of fans on the big screen were cincy fans only. Obviously the audience at the game was composed of 90% hokie fans, so this was weird. Girl in back of me puked around half time all over the place. We moved, but the girl was not escorted out. The guys selling beers were nice enough to pour some ice/water on the "remnants". It reeked for a good 30 minutes. Guy in back of me got busted for smoking. I was impressed that Fed Ex field staff caught this and handled it in a professional manner. Game sucked for hokie fans but was an exciting game all in all with many memorable plays. Getting out of parking lot took some time, but was basically uneventufl and easier than expected. All in all a good experience and I would go back...
