About

CHUNK! NO, CAPTAIN CHUNK! IN CONCERT:

French easycore outfit Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! has built a strong following with a dynamic sound that combines the sonic onslaught of hardcore and metal with the catchy melodies of pop punk. The band’s technical chops are flawless, and in concert they tear through high-octane tracks like “Haters Gonna Hate” and “In Friends We Trust” with razor-sharp precision, nailing their breakneck tempos, blistering riffs, and complex chord changes with dizzying dexterity. Above all else, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! like to have fun, and their party-worthy live shows always treat ticket buyers to an adrenaline-filled and seriously thrash-worthy concert experience.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! formed in Paris in 2007, taking their name from a character in the beloved 1985 action adventure film Goonies. The band’s early years were spent honing their sound and writing material, and in 2010 they dropped their debut single “In Friends We Trust” and self-released their first album Something for Nothing. The following year they signed with LA-based pop punk label Fearless Records and re-released their debut album before hitting the road on their first US tour. Following a stint on the 2012 Vans Warped Tour, CNCC returned to the studio and released their sophomore album Pardon My French. The album was a commercial and critical success, cracking the Top 20 on the Rock, Indie, and Alternative charts and drawing the band out for more touring. Since then Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! has continued to deliver the goods on tour, generating massive excitement for the third album, 2015’s Get Lost, Find Yourself.
