About

Chuck Ragan on Tour

American singer/songwriter/guitarist Chuck Ragan has had a thriving musical career that has seen many iterations over the course of almost three decades. Starting out as one of the lead singers in a Gainesville, Florida, punk band called Hot Water Music in 1994, Ragan went on to carve out an admirable solo career as a folk-rock troubadour.

With his deep, gravelly voice and charismatic stage presence, he's built a large and loyal fanbase around the world that follows him throughout his different musical projects. He's also found an expansive community of musicians as a result of his various musical exploits, not the least of which is founding the Revival Tour in 2008, which has toured around the world featuring a wide array of punk, alt-country and bluegrass acts, including notable musicians such as Rise Against frontman Tim McIlrath, Craig Finn of the Hold Steady, Laura Jane Grace, Ben Kweller, Jay Malinowski of Bedouin Soundclash, and many more.

Don't miss your chance to catch this musical force of nature when he hits the road and comes to a city near you.

Chuck Ragan Live in Concert

The son of former PGA and Ryder Cup golfer Dave Ragan and gospel singer Geraldine Ragan, Charles Allen Ragan (who performs under the name Chuck Ragan), grew up in the Southern United States: Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, and finally Florida. There was always music around the house -- his mother sang and he had two musical grandfathers -- one who played guitar and the other who played accordion. So, Ragan was exposed to country, gospel and bluegrass music from a very young age.

Joining Gainesville's Hot Water Music when he was 19, Ragan cut his musical chops with the punk band for more than a decade until he struck out on his own playing acoustic folk music. This wasn't the end of Hot Water Music, however, which reunited for European and North American tours and to record another album in 2012.

Later moving out west to Northern California, Ragan released numerous full-length solo albums, live albums and collaborations with other renowned artists throughout his prolific career. Ragan also published the book The Road Most Traveled, a memoir and collection of insights about the life of a touring musician living on the road, with a second volume in the works.

Paid extra for a seat but the venue was standing GA

by S on 1/16/23Mickey's Black Box - Lititz

As soon as tickets went on sale I immediately made my purchased based on the seats listed which sounded like great options (RIGHT Row B Seats 9 & 10). I didnt rush to the venue when doors opened since I knew I had reserved seats. Upon arrival I learned that my seats didnt exist and it was standing general admission. There were balcony seats available at first come first serve which were already filled up. We traveled 4hrs for this show and we wouldnt have been able to drive home afterwards so we had to stay the night. The hotel onpremise required 2 nights booking for that day because of "high occupancy" so this ended up being a rather expensive trip and I was really looking forward to having good seats for the show.
