it was the perfect combination of humorous, touching and sentimental...the music, singing and acting were first rate....loved the children's chorus!
Very funny and entertaining. They sang and danced and were very good Bringing the children in was a nice touch and they did a wonderful job.
I was expecting something a bit more Christmassy. The blurb gave me the impression that there might be more Christmas carols mixed in with the rather non-typical songs. The set was OK, nothing flashy.
Let me say first that my criticism is not directed against the performers. They put a lot of time, effort and talent into their performance. I am being critical of the format. I was expecting a Christmas show that was more traditional. I was looking for a larger group of singers and the inclusion of some of the Christmas songs that have become audience favorites. In my view, there was too many "cutesy" numbers. Some of those should have been mixed with the inclusion of the Christmas standards.
I really enjoyed the show! I thought the humor was great. I loved the sarcastic lyrics to some of the songs and the ways the actors faces showed their feelings, whether humorous, childlike, serious, silly, or sarcastic through their facial expressions or voices. I also enjoyed that there were some regular, serious Christmas songs. I came to see the children, since one of my students was in the production, but I truly enjoyed it overall.
The singers were great Some of the songs we thought were in poor taste especially since there were children in the audience. The stage looked bare, luckily they brought out a few decorations which brought it to life. We were turned off by the request for money for the children's group. We are bombarded with agencies seeking money at the end of the year. it was our weekend for relaxation and fun. We donated anonymously, who could resist those little kids. They were a nice touch and cute. Christmas is so much fun and excitement for kids.
Every year I take my daughters to a christmas show. I read the reviews for this show and they seemed to rate the it as a good family show. My daughters are pre-teen and teen. When intermission came they both looked at me and asked if we could go. I was pretty lame. It was 99% singing. We were hoping for more of a play/musical..we were all disappointed with the show. I think they could've done more with the story line of the people being stranded...
We enjoyed this performance very much. The singers have great voices and the songs were a mix of traditional songs and funny ones. The children's group was excellent!
I went to the show with my mother-it was fantastic! The cast was perfect & all had great voices. The venue is a nicer small size so any seat was great. We paid $48 a ticket two minths prior then Living Soci had rix for $16-next time we would pay that. The 1st half of the act was humorous but after intermission it slowed down and was not as appealing--but was still nice.
Enjoyed the show very much. Great for familiies. Like that Pheasent Run(FVR) puts on christmas shows that all can enjoy each year, always puts us in the christmas mood.
