About

Chris Lake on Tour

Considering how many global dance-floor hits Chris Lake has produced since the early '00s, hearing one of his productions mixed into another DJ's set is no surprise at a large-scale electronic music festival. But hearing Lake drop his own tracks at one of his performances means hearing the man behind some of the biggest house music hits of the millennium enact the grooves the way he envisioned them from the outset. At EDC Orlando in 2019, Lake dropped a furious spin on Florence and the Machine's "You've Got the Love" intertwined with his own track "I Want You," and the a cappella vocal floated masterfully over the thumping bass like it never had before. The man just knows how to craft dance-floor bangers, and with a gargantuan discography of recognizable singles — including official remixes for everyone from Calvin Harris to Missy Elliott — it's a vibrant guessing game as to which will show up in any of his expertly crafted sets. Lake is a fixture on the international EDM festival circuit, with recent stops at Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, Ultra and more. He's been a resident at Ibiza and tours extensively to clubs in North America. And one thing is for certain: No two sets are the same.

Chris Lake in Concert

Hailing from Norwich, England, Chris Lake first emerged on the dance music circuit in the early '00s, making guerilla remixes of well-known tracks that found their way to European clubs. By 2009, Lake and his growing catalog of productions made their way to American dance clubs as he clocked multiple Billboard dance chart Top 10 hits like "Only One," "If You Knew" and "Changes." He notched a 2012 Grammy nomination working alongside Deadmau5 on the 4x4=12 album, collaborated closely with Skrillex on selecting the tracks for the OWSLA label compilation (HOWSLA, which also hit No. 1 on Billboard's electronic chart) and currently operates his own boutique electronic music label, Black Book Records.

    Lifechanging

by Rayvin400 on 6/13/23Big Night Live - Boston

Chris Lake live was a religious experience. I can't even explain it. Just go.

    Sub bass WAY TOO LOUD

by Guy on 6/14/22Big Night Live - Boston

Overall I had a lot of fun and the atmosphere was great. However the sub bass was incredibly loud and sort of drowned out all the other sounds. If it was a little bit quieter, I think the show would have been a 5/5

Great music but over sold tickets

by Boston617 on 6/14/22Big Night Live - Boston

Chris Lake never disappoints and always gets the crowd moving, music 5 stars! Big night live (venue) on the other hand clearly over sold tickets for this one, the venue was completely packed which made the atmosphere not great and unfriendly.

    Amazing!

by Phill on 6/14/22Big Night Live - Boston

Was my first time at Big Night, the club is very big, beautiful inside, the sound have no words to explain… The only problem, was very hot inside the club, I didn’t felt this in other clubs nearby. If there’s a way to fix it, I’ll be my number in Boston 👏🏻🙏🏻

    Great show, needs louder music

Great show, just wish it was louder. It was hard to hear in the back.

    Poorly produced

by UnhappyRaver on 10/4/21Wingfield Park - Reno

They ran out of bottled water. Sound system poorly tuned - no mid range. No laser show like previous years. Chris Lake played a boring set with mostly old tracks. Pace was horribly slow with long breakdowns and 30 to 60 secs of danceable music art a time. Venue changed bag policy at last minute but producers did not update social media.

    Expensive and underproduced

by UnhappyRaver on 10/4/21Wingfield Park - Reno

Little info published ahead of time. Venue changed bag policy at last minute, but producers did not update social media with the information. Cutsnake was great. Chris Lake played 85% of ehat he played last time, and it was monotonous with long breakdowns and only 30 to 60 seconds of danceable music at a time. No lasers or light show like previous events. Sound system sounded horrible with no mid range no matter where you wrre located.

Had a great time. The stage could use more lasers though.
