    Authentic talented performance

    by Liveconcertfan on 9/24/23

Saw Daughtry at an indoor smaller venue in Northern California. Showtime was 8pm, band started at 815pm. I missed the first 4 songs because of traffic and assuming an opening band. Had a 3rd row seat and when I got there, Chris was doing guitar acoustic and the crowd was mesmerized! Acoustic version of Superman was so moving. His voice and tone was amazing, he told stories in between songs, and sang a few songs for an encore. Best part was at the end of the show, the audience was allowed to go to the front of the stage, and Chris either shook hands or handed out a guitar pick to everyone. I’ve been a huge fan since American Idol, and hearing his back story/marriage/family makes me appreciate him more. The smaller indoor venue was perfect for this performance. I’d definitely go see Daughtry again!

    Terrible

by Misty Miss Kristi on 8/6/23

I’ve seen Daughtry before and they were awesome. Last night was a different story. Vegas outdoor concert, start time was 8:00 pm. We sat for an hour in 98 degree heat before being told there were technical difficulties. Finally after 15 more minutes they started to perform sound checks on drums, keyboard and guitars. 9:28 concert began. 4 songs in they went to drum solo, performed two more songs, guitar solo. Then Chris acoustic. Finally performed Superman after all new material which 75% of crowd didn’t know. Sang some more songs. Had trouble with dry throat and had to get water (dude, you are in the desert). 1 hour 25 minutes later, we’re done. Goodnight. What? Came back out for ONE song. We literally waited longer for the concert to start than the total performance time. The venue had a drink named after them called “Feels Like Tonight”. They didn’t even play it! Chris Daughtey acted like he was doing us all a favor being there. I and most the crowd around me were absolutely stunned. Some saying they feel like they got robbed. I was absolutely stunned and livid at the same time. How do you not come out after your fans waited an hour and a half and apologize profusely and then open with an older song, let’s say, “Feels Like Tonight” and get your crowd going? Nope, let me play 4 new songs of which 25% of the crowd knows and promote your new album. Needless to say, this fan is now a former fan and very disappointed and frankly mad about how we were treated. Shame on you Chris Daughtry. You could have done much better to rectify a terrible situation. The one star is only because when he actually sang, it was great.

    Daughtry is always terrific!

by sunshinenyc on 7/27/18Sony Hall - New York

This was a intimate venue where he did an interview for about 45 min and played 3 songs. The 2 new ones sound fabulous! And hearing an oldie but goodie brought a ton of smiles.

The one Band on a dessert island. Who would it be

by Analogmen on 5/29/18Broome County Forum - Binghamton

The venue was in the home town of "Twilight zones" Rod Serling. The theater itself is a Crown jewel for the city of Binghamton. And great acoustics. Do you remember the episode where Burgess Merdith locks himself inside the bank vault so he can be alone to relish in his passion for reading, only to find out that a nuclear blast wiped out civilization? When he emerges from the vault he is devastated to find he is the only one left. But he wanders into the only structure that is still standing........a library!!!!!!!!! My episode would have me listening to this concert, in the Broome County Forum while the world struggles with such things and I would be satisfied for a really long time. He is a terrific performer and the acoustics are absolutely perfect. I would encourage anyone to stop and listen because straight ahead in Binghamton, New York is the Twilight Zone of entertainment.
