What are the general rules of Children's Mercy Park?
Smoking Per stadium policies, Children's Mercy Park is a non-smoking and tobacco free facility. There are no designated smoking locations inside the stadium or on stadium grounds. Fans that do not comply with the smoking policy inside the stadium may be subject to ejection. Ticket Re-sale/Scalping The resale of event tickets, regardless of price, is prohibited at Children's Mercy Park. Fans that purchase tickets from someone other than Sporting Club, Children's Mercy Park Box Office or Ticketmaster do so at their own risk. Tickets from an unapproved broker could be counterfeit. Sporting Club and Sporting Park are not responsible for and may not provide a replacement or refund of any kinds for invalid tickets purchased through a secondary ticket provider. Cameras Fans may bring personal, still-photo cameras to capture the special moments from their visit to Children's Mercy Park. However, video cameras, monos/tripods and cameras with a detachable lens are not permitted inside the stadium. Animals Guide, signal and service animals are allowed inside Sporting Park with fans that need their assistance (live dogs only). No pets or other animals are permitted. Bag Inspection In accordance with MLS Best Practices and Sporting Club security guidelines, bags measuring 11” x 17” x 10” or smaller may be permitted after a thorough inspection by stadium security staff. Fans that need to bring a diaper bag, when accompanied by a baby or infant, may be subject to the same inspection procedures. Fans should be prepared to open their bags for inspection and may be asked by security staff to shift and possibly remove the contents. Bags larger than 11” x 17” x 10” may be denied entry inside Children's Mercy Park, and fans may be asked to return the bag to their vehicle. There are no lockers outside of the stadium to store items nor can any items be held by staff members. All items left unattended outside the stadium may be disposed of by stadium staff. Bottles & Cans Fans may not be allowed to bring any type of bottle, can, thermos or beverage container inside Children's Mercy Park. Parents with small children may bring plastic bottles of formula or milk inside of the stadium. Food and Beverage Policy Fans are not allowed to bring any food or beverage items inside Children's Mercy Park other than those served by KC American Sportservice, the official concessionaire for the facility. We ask that fans either leave these items inside their vehicles or dispose of them at the security checkpoint before entering the stadium. The only exceptions are food and beverage items for infants two years of age or younger. Laser Pointers Laser pointers are considered a prohibited item at Children's Mercy Park and are subject to confiscation if brought inside the facility. Lost or Stolen Tickets Lost or stolen tickets can be replaced only under certain conditions. Please contact the Children's Mercy Park Ticket Office for replacement guidelines. Noise Making Devices Musical instruments or any types of noise making devices not approved by Sporting Kansas City are not permitted inside Children's Mercy Park. This includes, but is not limited to, items such as whistles, vuvuzelas, air horns, boom boxes and other electronic sound devices. Playing Field – No Trespassing Fans are reminded that attempting to enter or access the playing field without the proper credential may be considered trespassing and is grounds for immediate ejection and arrest. Radios Only personal radios with headphones are permitted inside Children's Mercy Park. So that all fans enjoy the action on the field, radios operated without headphones are not allowed. Re-Entry In accordance with MLS and Sporting Club security procedures, fans may not exit and re-enter the stadium using the same ticket. There will be no exceptions for this policy. Security Procedures In accordance with current MLS Best Practices for stadium security, all fans may be subject to security inspection prior to entry inside Children's Mercy Park, including a physical pat down and inspection of all items brought inside the facility. Fans can assist in this procedure by removing their hats and emptying their pockets of any items before reaching the security staff member. Fans that elect not to consent to this security screening may be denied entry inside Children's Mercy Park. Due to this security procedure, fans are encouraged to enter the stadium at least 45 minutes prior to kick-off. Segways and Tri-Bikes For the safety of all guests at Children's Mercy Park, Segways and Tri-Bikes are not permitted inside the stadium. Skateboarding/Rollerblading Fans should be aware that skateboarding and rollerblading are not permitted within Children's Mercy Park and the Event Plaza area. “Roller shoes,” which are athletic shoes with retractable wheels, are also not allowed. Strollers Children's Mercy Park welcomes fans with strollers. However, strollers are prohibited from all stadium seating sections and concourse areas. All strollers must be checked in at the nearest Guest Relations office during the game, located near sections 101 and 132 on the concourse. Umbrellas With a covered roof over all seating sections and per stadium policies, umbrellas are not needed or permitted inside Children's Mercy Park. Please leave them inside your vehicles prior to entering the stadium. Weapons Fans are not permitted to bring firearms or any other weapons Children's Mercy Park. Law enforcement officials attending the event are permitted to bring a firearm inside the stadium if he/she is designated by their department and is in compliance with Kansas officer standards and training board requirements.
