CHILDREN OF BODOM's enthralling mix of modern heavy metal, melodic hooks and the guitar acrobatics of front man Alexi Laiho have solidified the critically acclaimed Finnish band as one of the leading and largest voices of metal's new generation.
The flambouyant quintet eagerly return to Australia as part of "THE UGLY WORLD TOUR" for an explosive run of spectacular shows on the back of their latest release, Relentless Reckless Forever to once again display why their unique union of haunting melodies, rhythmic sensibility, guitar-and-keyboard interplay and king-size solos are unmatched by anyone!
Children of Bodom was amazing, as always! Irving Plaza was beautiful and a great venue for the show.
The show was amazing. This was my first time seeing COB and I’m devoted for life. COB shape a melodious high energy atmosphere of exceptional metal music. The Baltimore crowd rose to the meticulous skill of COB. Moshing was plentiful and delight could be seen the faces of all. I can not wait to meet again!! The sad part there was No merchandise for Children of Bodom. Very sad! They said that they had sold out but my suspicion is it wasn’t in that evening but at the show before. I missed most of Summoning Circle ‘s set but from what I could hear they sound great, their image is amazingly dark and gets you in the mood for sacrifice. Wolfheart was absolutely amazing!! I’m a new fan for sure!!
I saw Children of Bodom more than ten years ago at the 9:30 club in D.C. That show was fantastic - the band was funny and energetic and put on a great show. This show, not so much. They didn't talk to the crowd or even introduce songs; they were kinda just going through the motions and weren't really into it. Also, I don't know if it was the sound system at the Baltimore Soundstage or if the audio engineer wasn't mixing the sound right, but the sound quality was awful. It was just, overall, boring and unenthusiastic. The only positive was that they did play all of the songs that the fans wanted to hear.
The show was extremely amazing. I'm so beyond stoked that I met them in person and I'm hoping to see and meet them again. My dream came true. Thank you, Children of Bodom.
Children of Bodom show was excellent Can't wait to see them again at the Bloodstock festival in the UK in August
Nice theater. Sound. lights, stage, everything set up for a concert. Recommend seeing just about anyone there. The band was on, exciting and very visual. Didn't realize how complex their rhythms were until I heard them live, almost reached prog a couple of times. Alexi was fantastic.
i absolutely love Children of Bodom, have since the first time i ever saw them back in 2005. hadn't heard of them before that, they were just the opening band, but blew away the headlines within seconds of playing. this was my fourth time seeing them and they are still everything i would expect, except singer and guitarist Alexi Laiho doesn't quite run around the stage like a madman so much as he used to... but watching him play is always amazing! plus, the band are awesome people, and invited the group of us fans, who waited outside for autographs, to the bar down the street to hang out!!!!
Best COB show ever! Sick set list! Can't wait for them to come back to NYC with all their OLD material!
Children of Bodom are always great to see live! Great musicians that clearly take their sound serious while still having a good time.
Children of Bodom put on a great show with a great setlist. The opening bands, Tyr and Death Angel, were also great.
