    Excellent game for no crowd

by MattyA on 7/3/10Marina Auto Stadium - Rochester

Great game. Lots of scoring. Good to see a bunch of Syracuse grads. Great seats right at midfield (the 50 yard line). But every single person that went to the game was on the same side. Lot of empty seats. Thought lacrosse was more popular in the ROC than that.

    Great MLL action

by LaxLizard on 6/27/10Marina Auto Stadium - Rochester

It's been 2 years since there has been Major League Lacrosse in Rochester, and this game showed what we had been missing-- a high scoring battle right to the end. Former college stars Ned Crotty, Ken Clausen, and Dan Hardy were at their best. Hardy rang the cage from behind just like Gary Gait. Anthony Kelly was locked in some amazing face-off battles. In other stuff, Nancy's Fried Dough was excellent and the parking in the stadium lot was more secure than on the streets. Halftime show was the Webster Lacrosse Club which was entertaining. Any youngsters attending the game were in for a treat as players stayed after for autographs.

    We had a blast!

by timothyellisky on 8/9/09Soldier Field - Chicago

Soldier Field is an excellent venue for MLL. Lower deck puts you right down on the field with great sight lines. Players are much more accessible, especially pre- and post-game.

by Tiddle on 7/26/09TOYOTA PARK - Bridgeview

Toyota Park was easy to get to and the facilities were very nice. You were able to sit up close to the action and get into the game!! We would definitely go to another game and recommend it to others. Great family activity!!

    Eh, Go See The Machine

    by joebaur42 on 7/26/09TOYOTA PARK - Bridgeview

My girlfriend and I recently discovered the awesomeness of Chicago Fire games. We went the past three weekends, so when on the fourth weekend we visited Toyota Park for a Machine game instead of the Fire, we were somewhat surprised. The stands were virtually empty. Pulling up to the parking lot, there was no pre-game/post-game excitement. There were only a few fans in the stand, and we had the luck to sit behind the fans that realized players could hear them, so they decided to yell at them the entire time rather than watch the game. I'm also of the opinion that the sport of lacrosse as some of the worst fans in sports. They're more concerned with wearing the right polo and popped collar than they are with the actually event themselves. I think they need to take off their polos (dudes) and pearl necklaces (chicks) and put on some fan gear and watch the game, but I digress. The point is, for a sport that calls itself the fasting growing sport in the nation, I was taken aback. I rated the event 3 stars, because I still love the game of lacrosse and Toyota Park, but more needs to be done to get fans in the stands and into the game. They played the SAME SONG after every Machine goal. That got annoying really quick. It seems lacrosse has a long way to go, but I still say everyone should make it out to a game, especially if they've never seen/played lacrosse. It's a great sport, with hard-hitting action, goals and grit. The players are obviously talented, and it is a sport that deserves to be on the same level as the MLB, NBA, and NFL. It seems at has to catch up to even the MLS first, though.

    Don't miss the Machine!

by Franandfam on 7/13/09Soldier Field - Chicago

This was the first time our family attended a professional LaCrosse game and we'll absoloutely attend another! We had a blast enjoying this fast moving game and no one swore, spilled beer or flashed their boobs at us. All of which has happened while attending other professional sport events in Chicago. After the game the players signed autographs and talked with their fans. This is what makes young athletes excited about watching, playing and supporting a sport. We didn't have to take out a loan go to this game either. Go Machine!

    MLL at Soilder Field?!

    by LaxMan19 on 7/13/09Soldier Field - Chicago

The concept of professional lacrosse at a football stadium was very appealing, however the execution was a little iffy. Only 1/4 of the stadium was accessible, which I guess was fitting for the 3,000 attendants. The Chicago Machine, a midwestern team, was really no match for an east coast team. Needless to say, the game was fairly boring until the last 10 minutes when the Machine had a fairly impressive comeback. They still lost, but it made up for the rest of the game. There are a few rule changes in pro lacrosse that I don't really care for. They are intended to make the game more fast paced and accessible for the average viewer but I really think they take away from the essence of the game. All in all, it's definitely a good one time experience.

    Machine was fast and fun!

by bstaszew on 7/13/09Soldier Field - Chicago

We had a great time at this game. The only problem was the concession stand. We waited 45 minutes for a hot dog.
