Chase & Status have been hailed as being the most exciting producers in the UK today. Multi-award winning, platinum record selling producers, writers and musicians, these lads are two good friends from London who started up their own label, MTA Records, in Manchester. Seeing a Chase & Status concert is a lot like going to the best electronic music rave you could imagine. With the two DJing and singing, along with backup on drums and beats, every moment is filled with pulsating sounds and excitement. If you’re lucky enough to score a ticket to a tour or shows at Future Music Festival in Australia, you’ll get to experience the incendiary action for yourself. Their newest album Brand New Machine released in October 2013 and peaked at No. 2 on the UK Albums chart.
The two met at Manchester University in the mid-1990s and bonded over their mutual love of drum and bass music. They began DJing as a team, then started producing tracks for underground artists and for popular mainstream artists, including Rihanna and Rita Ora, soon after. Their albums have been packed with the kind of drum and bass dubstep action that has gained them critical laudation for years. “Pieces,” one of their recent hits, which features Plan B, and “Against All Odds,” featuring Kano, have both seen lots of recent airplay. Snoop Dogg samples one of their tracks from the Eastern Jam album for his song, “Snoop Dogg Millionaire.” With the amount of work these guys are able to accomplish, it's hard to believe they have time to tour on top of it all! They are fan-pleasers above all else, though, which is why thousands flock to each and every one of their legendary live shows.
A really MASSIVE experience. The venue was ok. Chase & Status was amazing.
Chase & Status production was immaculate, and the Palladium is always on point, except in terms of crowding. Sold out shows are packed to the walls. We were in the very back and literally couldn't move until the last 30 minutes, which defeats the purpose of a dance event. Obviously this is true at most venues. But reducing the ticket cap by 10% would significantly improve the experience of everyone at the show.
Chase & Status absolutely rocked the house, their set did not skip a beat. They really knew how to get the crowd involved and the venue was perfect for hosting them! Would say the openers could have been more fun, but nothing bad to say about this elite London duo.
Seeing Chase & Status after all these years since I first saw them back in the early 2000's was a treat! Amazing show!
The lineup was great, vibes on point, sound… alas, they had one speaker on the fritz for most of the night and clearly need an update to handle current loudness of acts like this.
I grew up listening to Chase & Status, so seeing them live in LA–on BOTH nights–was pretty surreal. The music was fire. The crowd was wild. You could feel the energy in the air. The openers on both nights killed their sets too! Seeing the legendary Chase & Status up close here in the States was something I'd never dream of experiencing. The venue was great. I've only been to the Hollywood Palladium once and that was years ago. Parking was easy to get to and just about hassle-free. Overall, DAMN. This is a concert that I'll never forget. Thank you Chase & Status <3
First time seeing Chase & Status perform live-it was great and full of energy. Final ticket price I found pricey.
