About

CHARM CITY DEVILS IN CONCERT:

Baltimore hard rockers Charm City Devils pour their hearts and souls out for ticket buyers every time they take the stage. The quintet evokes classic rock acts like Aerosmith and AC/DC with their own bluesy blend of gritty vocals, heavy guitar riffs, and catchy choruses, and nowhere is their driving sound more potent than in concert. At the helm is lead singer John Allen, who shows off his impressive range as he tears through fist-pumping anthems like "Shots" accompanied by a sizzling twin axe attack courtesy of guitarists Victor Karrera and Nick Kay. It all adds up to fast-paced, frenzied performances and one heck of a good time.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Vocalist John Allen -- former drummer for Child's Play and SR-71 -- founded hard rock collective Charm City Devils in Baltimore in 2007. He and his four bandmates -- bassist Anthony Arambula, drummer Jason Heiser, and guitarists Victor Karrera and Nick Kay -- signed to Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx's record label Eleven Seven Music a year later. In 2009 they released their debut album Let's Rock-N-Roll, which spawned the singles "Let's Rock n' Roll (Endless Road)" and "Best Of The Worst". The band soon took their bluesy, southern-tinged hard rock on tour with supporting gigs for Motley Crue, Buckcherry, Guns N' Roses, and Slash. They returned to the studio in 2014 where they teamed up with Grammy-winning producer Skidd Mills (12 Stones, Saving Abel, Sick Puppies) for their crowd pleasing third album, Battles.

Charm City Devils Rock! ! !

The band puts on a great solid rock n roll show. Thunderous percussion from Jason on drums and Tony on bass, while Vic and Nick both crank out guitar riffs that can fill a stadium and all of it with the amazing lead vocals of John Allen. In short, a must see band that was opening for Slash & Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators two days after this very cool NYC show.

It was a shame the stage was not big enough to those guys from Charm City Devils, although they kept audience engaged and captivated during their set. The singer has such an amazing voice, I wanted him to keep singing. He is no doubt the best singer among all the bands I had seen this year, and I've seen quite many. All the guys from the band were friendly and funny. After-party was fun, too. I hope they go far, far beyond the small stage and opening act spot and take the big stage as a headliner.
