    The Force was Hilarious

by Gearhead on 2/3/15Birchmere - Alexandria

I have wanted to see this for a long time; saw some of the One Man Lord of the Rings on YouTube so had high expectations for Star Wars and was not disappointed. Birchmere is a great venue. Thought the food prices was a little high and the sound was a bit loud. That said, the performance was amazingly creative, personal, and extremely funny.

One Man Star Wars Galactic in scope!

by chocosnob on 2/3/15Birchmere - Alexandria

Awesome. Hysterical. Don't know how one man can have that much energy. Funny even if you haven't seen all the movies.

Charles Ross is one funny guy

by amylujobob on 2/7/13Birchmere - Alexandria

It sounded like a good idea and it really is. Charles Ross manages to give us the trilogy in one hilarious evening. I can't wait for his return next year with the one man Lord of the Rings.

    NOT Entertaining!

by Anonymous on 2/4/13Birchmere - Alexandria

I went to the show with my wife and older son fully expecting to laugh and have a good time. None of us laughed even once during the show. Mostly Ross just ran around the stage humming Star Wars themes and falling down a lot. Honestly, I had no idea what he was doing 90% of the time. The show is not only NOT funny, it's not even entertaining. Do yourself a favor - if you like Star Wars, stay home and watch a re-run of the movie.

    Charles Ross 1 Man LOTR

    by EADGBE1 on 2/19/12Birchmere - Alexandria

This was a great show!!! He is spot on for true fans of the movies. I recommend watching all 3 movies leading up to this performance so that they will be fresh in your mind. If you haven't seen all of the movies, save your time and money because you won't understand a thing.

    Lord of the Wow

by Cucinasink on 2/1/12Birchmere - Alexandria

My entire family of five (teens to 60s) laughed for over an hour nonstop along with the entire audience. It wasn't just the standup or satirical moments that Mr. Ross inserted. These were there in appropriate yet wonderfully modest portions; but it was instead the sheer audacity and speed with which he did voices, music, sound effects and pantomime to literally recreate the trilogy of 3 and 1/2 hour movies in well less than 30 minutes each. All characters had signature movements, mannerisms, and looks that were immediately distinguishable, and all these characters were engaged in dizzying arrays of rapid and incessant dialogues. Even though we had not seen the movies in recent months, it was like a 32-speed Fast Forward complete with sound! The Ross Ring ruled the audience with all its precious, delicious and flaming amazement!

    Unbelievable one man show!

by Anonymous on 1/31/12Birchmere - Alexandria

This show was fantastic! Charles Ross has more energy than a roomful of preschoolers--I don't know how he fit in all of the Lord of the Rings movies into a 1 1/2 hour show, but he did. Interacted nicely with the audience too. Can't wait to see One Man Star Wars when he comes back next year. We'll take the kids to that one.

One Man Star Wars is Awesome

by CJinDC on 3/7/11Birchmere - Alexandria

Charles Ross does an amazing job recreating the original Star Wars trilogy. If you have no idea what to expect, the show is like having your very funny and talented friend summarizing 3 movies for you in a little over an hour. A superb array of voices, coupled with a strong stage presence and acting ability, make for a great show! I highly recommend the performance and also recommend seeing Chares' One Man Lord of the Rings
