About

CEREBRAL BALLZY IN CONCERT:

Cerebral Ballzy resurrect ’80s hardcore and skate punk with their fast tempos, defiant lyrics, and decibel-shattering volume. Just like their loud and proud predecessors, the group rips through antagonistic anthems at a break-neck pace to cram as many songs as possible into their exhaustive sets. Lead singer Honor Titus spits out vehement verses over the top of the musical melee his band members whip up, replete with riffling snare roles and snarling guitar riffs. Ticket buyers looking for an intense musical experience won't want to miss the fearless ferocity of Cerebral Ballzy as they take over select stages across North America.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Honor Titus (vocals), Mason (guitar), Jason Bannon (guitar), Melvin Honore (bass), and Crazy Abe (drums) were skaters long before they decided to form a band. Coalescing around the ‘80s thrash metal and hardcore punk they loved, Cerebral Ballzy formed in 2008 and got right to work developing their adrenaline-filled live show. Based on the power of their performances the group caught the attention of Williams Street, the animation and counter-cultural art collective behind Adult Swim. Street produced and distributed Cerebral Ballzy's self-titled 2011 debut album, and also promoted the group during Adult Swim programming by playing the 60-second video “Don’t Tell Me What to Do”. The success of the album helped the band land coveted spots on tour with Flag, Black Lips, and Japanther. Multi-instrumentalist David Sitek of TV on the Radio came on board to produce their 2014 sophomore effort Jaded & Faded. Unfortunately, founding guitarist Mason left shortly after the album's release, but as a four-piece Cerebral Ballzy bring an even more focused attack to the stage as they continue to wreak havoc around the world.
