Celtic Fire provides a wonderful blend of song, dance, and culture
Thoroughly enjoyable show. The music and dancing were outstanding and Michael Londra's commentary added humor and insight.
This show was unbelievable. Great music, dancing and lots of fun. Mike Londra is an amazing singer and an incredible entertainer. The band with their traditional Irish instruments and music give the show an vibe never felt before. The Irish traditional dancers are world class performers. I recommend this to anyone interested in Irish culture and music, whether you know already about it or you don't!
Michael Londra is an Irish tenor with a wonderful sense of humor and a great story teller. He sings the Irish songs beautifully and gets his audience involved with a sprinkling of Gaelic which makes for a fun evening as well. His dancers are top notch and do a great job in between his appearances. They are graceful, dance in exact pace and I loved watching them!
Go to see Michael's shows whenever I can. He adds stories and humor With the talent of his musicians, dancers and his own lovely voice, which makes for an enjoyable evening out for all ages. He really makes you feel like part of the show!
you know it is an irish introduction and first impressions are everything. where was the pizzazz or ambiance. the curtains open and you have a bland stage with musicians sitting on bland black boxes. sure the dancers were entertaining and the music / stories not to bad however a trip down to kinkos for an irish backdrop canvas of an irish landscape would have brought the audience to ireland. other irish decor would have also transported the audience to ireland. the musicians getting out on stage and displaying some energy also aid to overall performance. i am still shocked how simple inexpensive decor, the same way you stage an empty house for market, give the overall wow factor.
The venue was great. The staff were both friendly & knowledgeable. Michael Londra brought humor, fun, and a whole lot of talent. The dancers were incredible, the band awesome, and Michael's singing was outstanding. He gave us a taste of Ireland for a couple of hours. His heartfelt stories of his parents and childhood, as well as his ability to draw the audience into his world make the evening a delight. Then the generosity of his time to sign autographs, take photos and chat with the audience afterward is rare but well-appreciated.
I don't want to sound too harsh but Celtic Fire was just a single flame. I thought there was way too much talking by Michael about his life and accomplishments and Ireland in general and too much audience participation. Michael has a wonderful tenor voice but all the talk talk talk before and after...the musicians were excellent but not rousing and the dancers were good but seemed only a filler for Michael between songs. There was really no cohesian between the songs and the dance. I guess I expected a mini Riverdance and all I saw was a puddle.
The host and singer had a good voice but was drowned out by the music. Words of songs were difficult to hear. Dancers were just OK.
This was a gift for my husband's birthday. It was a great show. We had a great time. There was never a dull moment. We bought the CD was so good.
