So much fun!
by Azerirules on 8/24/15Irvine Meadows (as Sebastian Bach reminded everyone!) - IrvineGrowing up with these bands, I had to attend. All the bands musically were tight especially Junkyard and Tom Keifer. I thought they were the best overall performances. Bulletboys, Trixter, Black N Blue, L A Guns, Faster Pussycat and Sebastian Bach were all fantastic. Not a fan of Saigon Kick so that was when I took a food break. During this time, there was a huge crowd on the side stage to watch Bang Tango. Expect them to be on the main stage for this event next time. Autograph wasn't bad, but they just don't seem to have that level that the others have in the lineup. I was looking forward to Dangerous Toys, but all their songs they performed were from the 1st album. Would've been nice to hear a song or two from the second one. Stephen Pearcy was either bored with singing the Ratt songs, drunk, or just doesn't have it anymore which would be sad. His band was very good, but his singing just wasn't there. Don Dokken may not have a strong voice anymore, but he was still very good despite the obvious technical problems. I left after Tom Keifer as I'm not a fan of Extreme. The rotating main stage was very cool as it was nearly non-stop rock! Outside of the heat, the lack of good food and not being able to see all the bands (wanted to see Bang Tango and Enuff Z Nuff) it was such a fun time. The crowd was very cool outside of a brief fight towards the end by our section. At the merchandise booth, we didn't realize there were other independent booths as my wife wanted a Sebastian Bach shirt. Found out later when I was low on funds. Hopefully they do this again with improvements and I will be looking forward to the next one!
