A great talent early in her career
by Cubsmodano on 4/8/14Deluxe at Old National Centre - IndianapolisCaroline Glaser played for a small crowd in the basement of the Old National Centre. Perhaps because of the small crowd, tables were brought in and everybody could have a seat if they wanted. The feel of the show was an intimate acoustic set so being seated wasn't a problem. Caroline Glaser (as of this writing) has released a 3 song EP and a few iTunes covers from her time on the Voice. The opening act (Liz Longley) had released 4 albums, so it seemed odd to have Caroline as the headliner. Unfortunately, Ms. Longley was stuck in traffic and didn't attend, making this concert rather brief, and knocking a star off my rating. Beyond that, everything about Caroline's performance was exactly what I hoped for and others present seemed happy as well. Caroline sounded great, she played several new songs to be featured on her next EP, as well as several very fun covers that I wouldn't expect but that suited her voice completely. She played for one hour, and fans were certainly left wanting more. She interacted with the audience throughout, and stuck around afterwards to meet the fans. My only gripes are that an opening act being present would have really helped make this concert into an evening, and a few additional songs in Caroline Glaser 's set would be fitting for a headliner. I would certainly attend another of her shows.
