Directions
From I-85 NORTH or SOUTH:Take "Durham Downtown" exit, Exit #177-A and follow Hwy. 15-501 Business South (Mangum St.) for approximately 1 mile. Turn Right onto Morgan St. Carolina Theatre is 3 blocks on the left, across from the parking garage.
From I-40 EAST (Burlington, Greensboro):
From I-40 East, merge on to I-85 North. Take Exit #172 and merge onto the Durham Freeway (Hwy. 147 South) for approximately 4.4 miles. Take exit #13 (Chapel Hill St) and turn left at the traffic light. Continue for .6 miles. Make a left on Foster Street. Make a quick left onto Morgan St. The Theatre will be on your left.
From I-40 WEST (Raleigh, Wilmington):
Take Durham Freeway exit (Hwy. 147 North) for approximately 5 miles. Take exit #12-B (Roxboro St./Mangum St.) and turn Right at first traffic light onto Roxboro St., following signs for Downtown. Continue until you pass under a bridge. Go ahead and get into the left lane. After you go under the bridge, you will come to a stoplight. After going through the light, merge left one lane. Continue to the left on Morgan Street. The Carolina will be on the left.
From Highway 15-501 NORTH/Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd. (Chapel Hill):
When highway divides near South Square, take Hwy. 15-501 Bypass North/Duke University. Follow for approximately 4 miles to Exit #108-C (Hwy. 147 South). Take exit #13 (Chapel Hill St)and turn left at the traffic light. Continue for .6 miles. Make a left on Foster Street. Make a quick left onto Morgan St. The Theatre will be on your left.

Location : Street parking along Morgan St. or nearby; Durham Centre garage directly across Morgan St. from the theatre; additional decks nearby at 326 East Chapel Hill Street, directly in front of the post office, and at the 101 East Corcoran Street.Specific location for Accessible Parking : Two spaces on Morgan St. along plaza in front of theatre; additional accessible parking available across the street in Durham Centre garage.
Charge for Parking (per vehicle) : Free (on street, after 6 pm or on weekends) or $2 per vehicle (in Durham Centre garage, after 6 pm or on weekends).

The Carolina Theatre's historic 1926 auditorium seats 1015 on three levels: Orchestra, First Balcony, and Second Balcony; premium seating available for some events; "stadium seating" in both balconies.Seats on each level are numbered as follows: in the CENTER section, conscutive numbers beginning with "101" (101, 102, 103, etc.); in the LEFT section, consecutive ODD numbers beginning with "1" (1, 3, 5, etc.); in the RIGHT section, consecutive EVEN numbers beginning with "2" (2. 4. 6, etc.).
