The Capitol Theatre is located at 13 Campbell Street (between George & Pitt Street) in Haymarket. Please note - Campbell Street is a one way street from Pitt Street, there is no car entry into Campbell Street via George Street.


There is little street parking in the vicinity of the Capitol Theatre. There are, however, several car parking stations in the area including: Goulburn Street Parking Station (corner of Goulburn & Elizabeth Street).
There are two designated disabled street parking spots of Campbell Street in front of the theatre.

Public Transportation
TRAIN: Nearest train station is Central Station (5 minute walk).
BUS: Numerous buses run along George Street. Patrons should alight at Campbell Street, Haymarket.
LIGHT RAIL/TRAM: Light rail is available from Central or Harold Park. Patrons should alight at Capitol Square.
MONORAIL: Closest station is World Square Station (5 minute walk).

The booking office is located on 13 Campbell Street (right next to Capital Thai Restaurant).

Box Office Hours

9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday for advance ticket sales. Two hours prior to every show for collection & purchase of tickets for the show on the day.

The following credit cards are accepted at the booking office: Bankcard, Visa, MasterCard & American Express. Cash is also accepted at the Box Office.

Accessible Seating

Stalls Row WWW is a raised platform section reserved for wheelchair bookings. It offers good views of the stage and can accommodate carers, family and friends. Bookings need to be made directly with the Box Office on 02 9320 5000.
If you are able to transfer from a wheelchair into a theatre seat you may wish to book an aisle seat in the Stalls. Ushers will assist by storing your wheelchair and bringing it to you at interval and at the end of the show. Stalls seating is suitable to patrons with limited mobility. Hearing Aid Loop is accessible in the majority of theatre seats; turn your hearing aid to T for reception.

Children Rules

All persons (including children) attending the theatre are required to have of a valid ticket.


The pick up and drop off point is in front of the theatre on Campbell Street.
Cloakroom facilities are available in the Heritage foyer.
Lock-out periods are set by production and vary from show to show. Performances start promptly at the advertised time and latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance.
