    Candye Kane was interesting

by chocoholic on 11/5/12Rhythm Room - Phoenix

Her music is soulful and she has quite a story. I felt like I was at a therapy session listening to a patient.

What a great show. Candye is so lovable. Great singer, great entertainer. Laura Chavez plays a great blues guitar. A joy to watch.

    Candye Kane Simply Amazing

by DebsNAmood on 2/20/12Rhythm Room - Phoenix

This was not only first time to the Rhythm Room but also my first time hearing the band Candye Kane. I must say this the most fun I had in a long time. Candye Kane's voice is amazing, she is personable and her band is extremely talented. I would definitely love to see them again and I'm looking forward to going back to Rhythm Room. The only thing I wish the Rhythm Room would do is hire more staff. There were only 2 bartenders and 1 waitress from what I could tell and for the crowd that was there for the Swing Dance Lessons and to see Candye Kane there was not enough help. It would also be nice if there was more sitting.

Candye was great as usual. Her guitarist heroically overplayed everything. I wish she would have stayed home. Totally ruined the show. Detracted from Candye. Denny & Marissa Sedona AZ

If you only see one show this year make it Candye.

by Slideguitar on 4/22/11The Ark - Ann Arbor

Let me start off by stating that as a musician of 30+ years and a professional sound engineer for a good many of those years, it has been a great long while since I have been this entertained. I had wanted to see Candye for some time but hadn't got the chance until the show at The Ark. The show could best be summed up as an evening of grand entertainment with a generous helping of humor and a whole lotta truth delivered on a plate as good as good ever gets. Candye Kane comes off as a truly talented blues diva with a heart as big as all outdoors and a fair bit of hard earned wisdom that leaves the audience with a sense of being part of a very positive and uplifting experience not only musically, but spiritually as well. Candye's guitarist, the Mighty Laura Chavez, has an ability to command a crowd like few I've seen in my professional life. Don't go calling her a "girl guitarist" or a "female guitar player", she's a force of nature all her own and one of the few guitarists I've ever seen that possesses the power to bring an entire audience to cheers after every single solo for an hour and a half+ set.. To quote my 70 year old Dad who saw the show with me... "She blew my mind!"

Candy Kane was fantastic and performed for a good two hours. Not a bad seat in the house.

Great Show, blues at its finest

by RockinRoller on 4/21/11The Ark - Ann Arbor

Candye did a great job interacting with the audience, fun stories and nice humor. Has a guitar player Laura Chevez from the Bay Area, the best I can explain her is by saying Stevie Ray Vaughn. This show was well worth the price of admision and then some.

    Candye Cane was great!

by GBlues on 12/21/10Rhythm Room - Phoenix

The show at the Rhythm Room was fabulous. Candye still has great pipes and her musicians are incredible, including Laura Chavez, who rocked the house with her searing guitar play. Sweet Pie was a great addition, too. His boogie woogie piano play was entertaining…in more ways than one. Two sets of great music! Funky cool and intimate venue! Eclectic audience. Doesn't get better than this!

Candye Kane was amazing and vibrant as ever. The venue was nice but the food service was exceptionally terrible (>90 minutes to get a salad).
