Why doesn’t Candlebox do shows in their home town Seattle???

    by Grich on 1/19/24

Love seeing Candlebox in concert! They are awesome! I’ve seen them numerous times throughout the years in Arizona! Since moving to Seattle a few years ago I’ve noticed that they never play shows in Seattle. I think that is odd being they are from Seattle???

    Rock is Alive!

    by awdeofile on 9/20/23

First, the vocals - better then I expected and probably better then the actual recordings. It was a super strong and entertaining performance that did complete justice to the songs that impacted me so strongly when I first heard them (on CD in a kick*** car stereo), 30 years ago. It's always been the contrast of the lead guitar parts and the vocals, alternately gentle and screaming, that has made their sound so rich and identifiable. And they did not hold back live. Would have enjoyed a full show with them instead of just an opening set (which was awesome!).

90s Grunge Ambassador Bringing Real Music Back in 23

    by JKennedy on 9/11/23

I’m not sure I was prepared to be honest for how the statement in the sentence following this one would go so against the ebb and flow that comes with performing at the end of a such a long career. That said…WOW man, Candlebox was truly phenomenal live. Unequivocally on the short S tier list of my personal concert experiences. For an hour Kevin Martin and Co. succeeded like I had hopes going in would do, and that is reconnecting me with such a very intimate headspace of music Im able to feel so very deeply. Only a handful of artists have been able to check truly check that box in my lifetime. I didn’t drink, smoke or take any Happy pills prior, yet I still am convinced was swept into a brief 90s time paradox that l I just never wanted to leave or see it end. It’s far from commonplace that aging sound expectedly tandems to that of a farewell tour. It’s a celebration of a brilliant career after all, giving artists & fans the opportunity to bring us all together for the long goodbye in this case. It was certainly that and something more. That something traveled 30 years all in an instant, coming out on the other side unscathed to be amplified into the Sept 9th 2023 Brandon, MS night. Beyond words comforting to know that it was still even attainable for me to feel that again inside(I didn’t just feel it, was BURNING in my SOUL my fellow brothers&sisters). Should go without saying that no disrespect intended towards 3 Doors Down, but the closing act of this tour has been preceding them. My one and only regret was that I didn’t financially coordinate better so I could’ve been closer to the stage. Hope I get one last chance to see them in Austin, TX coming up if it’s meant to be. If not, It’s Alright because you Covered me long enough. Hell of a ride boys. Never slow down. THANK YOU CANDLEBOX

    Awesome experience!

    by Ragdoll on 8/22/23

The venue was small - club setting - which meant we were up close to the band for the performance. They were amazing! Played all the songs I wanted to hear and then some. They interacted wonderfully with the crowd and gave a young woman a signed guitar at the end of the night! I've always loved this band and I'm an even bigger fan after this show. Thank you Candlebox for the great songs and memories! Happy retirement!

    Long live Candlebox!

    by jleigh1916 on 8/16/23

I love seeing my favorite bands at small venues like this - Candlebox sounded amazing as ever and it was a great show for their farewell/30th anniversary tour. A couple problems I had with the venue - I specifically emailed them prior to the show to ask if there was going to be a meet and greet, and they told me there was not. But when we got there to line up out front, there were already people in the venue before doors opened, and people talking about a meet and greet, so that was very disappointing. Also, from venue pictures posted when tickets were announced, it looked like there was going to be more seating than there was, and many of the seats that did exist were reserved. Also disappointing! I do love this venue overall, though, and it was a great show.

Awesome show that I'll never forget

    by Suebee on 8/16/23

The lead singer, Kevin Martin, noticed a young girl up front that was singing every song so he jumped over to the barrier stand and got in her face and they sang a couple lines of the song together. He then gave her an acoustic guitar of his. He asked for it back and then he and the band members autographed it and gave it back to her. He commended her father for bringing her up right on Candlebox. He was throwing out guitar picks and a few drumsticks to the crowd too. He tried to shake hands with all of us that were up front. Kevin is a class act entertainer and so personable and engaging with his audience. It was an awesome show for their final and one I'll never forget.
