    Amazing!!

by MareMomG on 2/24/16The PrivateBank Theatre - Chicago

The cast is amazing! So much talent!! Everyone is beautiful, and they can sing and dance and act and play musical instruments. The play itself is still moving, thought provoking and ends with the true brutality that the Nazi regime brought to our world. It was really a wonderful production.

    Cabaret surpassed all my expectations!

by BethMarie1983 on 2/24/16The PrivateBank Theatre - Chicago

I've always loved Cabaret's music and am a fan of the movie, but I never had the chance to see it live until now. It was so fantastic. The actors who played Sally and the emcee were impeccable. The woman who played Sally had an amazing voice - hit all the notes perfectly. I wish I could see it again!

    Cabaret sets a standard

by Antonhawke on 2/24/16The PrivateBank Theatre - Chicago

Motivated to see it for my tenth time because of the head cast, this production follows the exact same lines as in Broadway. This Cabaret is way different than its movie version. Therefore, we will see a decadent Kit Kat Klub commanded by an omnipresent Emcee( in a good performance by Randy Harrison). Sally Bowles, the Klub's main attraction, is aloof in a world on the verge of war. Andrea Goss played Sally with accuracy and precision that doesn't has to envy Sienna Miller, Emma Stone or Michellle Williams. The rest of the cast proved they are real troopers and triple threats as they played musical instruments as well. The direction made this show move at an adequate rhythm for the audience to assimilate Berlin's own decadence, the sexual undertones, and the after matches of war.

I bought tickets at the last minute. The seats were not great but after the show started I forgot about my disappointment over the seats. The show was great. The band was great.

    Astonishing and Moving

by BoldlyGoingNowhere on 2/23/16The PrivateBank Theatre - Chicago

What at first appears to be a lighthearted tale of debauchery in late 1930s Berlin quickly turns into a breathtaking commentary on the demonization of Jews during the Nazi rise to power. The unusually dark take on the story forces you to face your indifference and makes it impossible to come away unmoved.

    Exceptional Revival

by JMNChicago on 2/23/16The PrivateBank Theatre - Chicago

A powerful, and distressingly timely, revival of a classic show. Exceptional performances (singing, dancing, and acting), with bracing moments.
