    Cabaret

by flinko on 10/2/16Centennial Hall - Tucson

There was such wonderful talent on that stage. The voices, dancing etc were superb. Why the touring company felt a need to add all that smut and vulgarity is beyond me. I wish I have saved my $75. They ruined a perfect performance.

Join me at the Kit Kat Klub

by knockowt on 9/28/16Centennial Hall - Tucson

This was an amazing event. I loved the cast and they sang beautifully and portrayed the play so very well. If you get a chance, you need to find this play and go see it. My only regret is going to the last showing here because, I'd have paid to see it more than once. Awesome!!!!!

Ending for Cabaret hard to understand!!

    by 1stKnight on 9/28/16Centennial Hall - Tucson

For the most part Cabaret was okay for first half before intermission. However in the 2nd half of the show when it gets to Sally Bowles singing Cabaret, it was a huge disappointment !! The lady playing this part can clearly belt out a song and has a huge voice for such a small lady, but apparently the director wanted her to sing the song his way!! So huge let down!! The ending with everyone on stage and the emcee withe the drums playing and him taking off his jacket and then in his pajamas made no sense and then no sound and the stage goes dark. Total silence from the crowd as no one knew what to expect next! Very strange! So instead of a huge ending with standing ovation there was not any of this!! I felt this was very unfair to the actors. The director obviously over did the homosexuality as well. Totally not necessary! The mature audience gets its without it having to be overdone!

    Cabaret

by Electraguard on 9/28/16Centennial Hall - Tucson

Excellent show. My only negative was the song Money. The background singers and/or music made it difficult to understand the lead singer.

'CABARET" entertaining from start to finish

    by Mariel48 on 9/27/16Centennial Hall - Tucson

Having always enjoyed CABARET, I found my enjoyment of the musical renewed this past Saturday at the 2pm performance. The entire cast had strong voices, stayed in character through out, and successfully drew the audience into the world of cabaret singer Sally Bowles and citizens in the Nazi occupied Berlin of the 1930's. The costume choices (especially the decision to have the 'emcee' be as scantly clad as the cabaret boys and girls-a choice I found interesting but effective) were excellent, and the set of the show which had the orchestra ABOVE the stage floor was fascinating. The only flaw I found in the show was the occasional moment when the person singing was difficult to understand. That flaw however could have been a technical problem with the audio system which sometimes happens.

    Do not bother

by NickTuc on 9/27/16Centennial Hall - Tucson

This production was terrible. If I was not falling asleep, I was averting my eyes in disgust by the gratuitous sexuality. Even the cast seemed bored. The dancing was mediocre at best. My entire row left by intermission.

    Deep and Thought-Provoking Show

    by hunterm267 on 9/26/16Centennial Hall - Tucson

This was a very well-done performance of the classic "Cabaret". Having never seen it before, the show was deep, dark, thought provoking, and entertaining. Very immersive lighting and scenic design, as well.
