Fun time for a night out with friends

by Anonymous on 5/16/11CAMP BAR - St. Paul

I went to this show with a group of 5 of my good friends. We had supper and drinks prior to the show right at Camp bar. They get their food from 2 neighboring resturants and it was wonderful. The show was funny, especially after having a few cocktails. 1/2 of the skits were very true to our college days. 1/2 were a little exaggerated.

    Did he really say that?!

by Deborator on 5/16/11CAMP BAR - St. Paul

You never know what to expect with these small bar reviews but at the end of the night, if you are not laughing out loud at the humor, then you probably live at home alone with a dozen cats. Camp is a nice setting for such a ridiculously over the top account for what happens at bars. The drinking games keep you on your worst behavior and make the jokes even that more funny. The cast appears to be having so much fun they even manage to crack each other up throughout the night giving it that extra SNL flair.

The only problem of this show is: no free booze being served. But that's fine. I would totally recommend this show to my friends, for a few reasons as listed below. (1) The skits were great. I can't remember a moment that I was not laughing. (2) The interactive drinking games in between the skits were super fun. It turned out that most of the audience were pervert with great sense of humor, just like my date... all right, all right, and me. (3) The performers were great, evident from (1) and (2).

    Bye Bye Liver

This show was fantastic, loved the actors, venue, setup. Good balance of script and non scripted parts. Improv was awesome. Seating was weird but fine.

    Super funny

by mnvykng on 4/27/11CAMP BAR - St. Paul

A great mix of skits all having to do with situations you might encounter at a bar. The actors and actresses were very funny with a great comedic sense of timing. The accompanying keyboard player mixed in funny quips along with campy musical score. Mixing in drinking games between skits was a great way to include the audience. It's a fun outing for couples but would be a great stop for a night on the town with a group of your friends.

So much fun! I took my Dad to see this for his birthday. He is a total ham so he loved it when the actors picked on him. On a side note, they play games like "Never Have I Ever" and "Would You Rather". If there are some things you don't think your parents should know or that you would not enjoy knowing about your parents... don't go with them. Go with friends. The actors were funny and interacted with the crowd really well. I would go again and would recommend to any one.

    Interactively funny skits

by honestlyamber on 2/25/11CAMP BAR - St. Paul

This was enjoyably funny, but not like a play. It was more like little skits - not really tieing together like a play. Interactive with the audiance.
