    They haven't aged

by CoolChipsterCat on 9/8/11The Regency Ballroom - San Francisco

Just like the last time I saw them in Austin in like '89, they were energetic and totally unpredictable...made everybody around me dance and smile in a kind-of funny way...so when is the next album???????????

    Great Set List!

by Footjam on 9/5/11Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

They have so many good songs, that some good ones have to be left out. I thought this setlist really highlighted the band well & moved along at a fast pace! A killer show, the guys all looked & sounded great!

    The Butthole Surfers

Sonic onslaught-depraved videos-Psychedelic experience-unique Band-good show. If you have the stomach for the video assault I heartily recommend the concert experience

    Still uniquely butthole

by mp94610 on 9/1/11The Regency Ballroom - San Francisco

My 3rd times seeing bhs....good as ever! A bit mellowed from Lolapalooza days and advances in horror movie production and distribution has made their background a bit less shocking. Still a lot of old idiot slam dancers needing to be hauled out for ruining the old folk experience...but glad they came to town!

BUTTHOLE SURFERS tore me a new one...

by zcosmos on 9/1/11The Regency Ballroom - San Francisco

Great venue with good sound re-enforcement. I liked the visuals provided by the band. All hits-no filler. Jeff Pinkus boomed through the p.a . on a very cool Guild bass ,and King was a beast! These guys still have it!

The Butthole Surfers always put on a good show accompanied by a multimedia presentation. The videos are interesting though not if you have a weak stomach.

The Butthole Surfers were amazing. Great playlist, great sound, high energy. The booze was expensive.

5+ star review for the very best band ever

by ThePinkBunny on 8/30/11Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

There are no better performance artists than the Butthole Surfers. Everyone must see this band. They are the Beatles of our time but have been overlooked simply because of the band's name. If you don't see a Butthole Surfers show in your lifetime, you will have missed out immensely. If you can't get to a show, buy a CD. They're pure magic.

    Outstanding!

by garychickenwing on 8/30/11Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

these guys just keep getting better. my only complaint, where was the smoke? have smoke machines been outlawed or something? p.s. TICKETMASTER, get a new picture of the band. the guy on the right was a temporary substitute for the mighty Jeff Pinkus who has returned

    Energy like the old days

by chegumby on 8/30/11Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

This show surprisingly makes it into my top three. With the dress-wearing-instrument-swapping-clothes-pin-wearing-acid-crazed initiation show & the green-stripper-horror-film-chase-the-neophytes-away-now-here-smoke-our-pot-strobe-light-technician-pinnacle-where'd-our-drummer-go show at the IBeam in SF show. Seen them about ten times from 1984...Indoors & outdoors. LA, SF, Berkeley, & Vegas. Straight & not so straight. The crowd was ready & willing! No surprised frat boys& their dates to scare off with 30min noise etc. The venue meant the sound/visual system was top-notch. Gibby actually acknowledged the crowd from the start & Paul drove the band fast.
