Awesome way we celebrated our Anniversary!

by W. P. on 10/27/21Topeka Performing Arts Center - Topeka

We have waited since 4/8/2020 for this production. We were certainly not disappointed! A sparse crowd witnessed an exceptional performance of the Buddy Holly Story. The 5 male & 6 female actors did an exceptionally entertaining rendition of this story. Compliments to the performers who were multi-talented versatile musicians & dancers!

Very talented performers and a great story. Music was incredible. I was really disappointed in Topeka and the lack of support.

    Great Show!!! Don't miss it.

by Chief1797 on 10/25/21Topeka Performing Arts Center - Topeka

Thoroughly enjoyable!!! This was a fun show all the way through. The performers and the music were great. If you enjoyed music from that era and genre you will certainly enjoy this. We lost Buddy Holly well before he had a chance to truly display his talent but this show offers up some of his best known songs and shows some of his background between 1956 and 1959. All of the performers and especially the actor/musician portraying Buddy Holly were very talented and fun to listened to. It was upbeat and exciting and shouldn't be missed.

    Reliving History one magical night!

by Denise956 on 4/7/18McAllen Performing Arts Center - McAllen

Watching "Buddy" was magical. The actor looked and sounded just like him! I had a great time singing and dancing to all his hits! And I respected and loved how they showed his passing.

    Super Fun

by SouthTexGal on 4/7/18McAllen Performing Arts Center - McAllen

Buddy is a high energy, super fun show. The music was great and they kept the audience engaged throughout the entire show. We loved it. We highly recommend the show. It is great for all ages, not just those that grew up listening to him. He was a great talent that left us far too soon.

The Buddy Holly Story was fantastic!

by TXCory on 4/7/18McAllen Performing Arts Center - McAllen

The McAllen Performing Arts Center is a great music venue, doing South Texas proud. There isn't a bad seat in the very large house. The Buddy Holly Story was a fantastic, delightful trip back to the infancy of rock and roll, paying tribute to one of the most influential musicians of his era (or since). The show was laugh-out-loud funny at times, and, of course, a sad reminder of the tragic end to Buddy's life. The music was great and it's hard to imagine a better Buddy Holly unless it was Buddy himself. The show was nearly three hours of pure enchantment. If it comes anywhere near you, go see this wonderful show!
