About

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are regarded as one of the very best live rock acts of all time. From humble New Jersey beginnings in 1972, they grew in popularity to become one of the true icons of American music. Hits such as “Born In The USA” and “Dancing In The Dark” cemented Bruce Springsteen as one of America's top popular rock vocalists. He's known for being one of the hardest-working acts in the industry, and concerts can regularly last three hours or more and tours often last years rather than months.
Bruce Springsteen began his musical career singing and playing in a number of bands in the New Jersey area in the mid-‘60s. Influenced by the likes of Elvis Presley, the Beatles and Cream, his musical style was both a reflection of his own tastes and of his blue-collar working-class American roots. The mix of old-fashioned rock and roll with a more progressive, often politically minded lyrical style soon began to build a cult following for Springsteen. By 1972 he was signed to a deal with Columbia Records, along with the E Street Band. The band's members changed now and then over the years, but the core members were Danny Federici, Clarence Clemons, Garry Tallent, Roy Bittan and Max Weinberg. Together they released their first album, Greetings From Asbury Park NJ, in 1972.
While they enjoyed tremendous success in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, they were launched into the megastar category with the release of Born In The USA in 1984. The album stormed the US charts, becoming one of the biggest-selling records of all time with over 30 million albums sold. Bruce Springsteen became an American pop-culture icon and the band enjoyed huge success worldwide with sold-out stadium tours and numerous top 10 singles.
In 1999 Bruce Springsteen was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame and over the years the act has won numerous Grammy and Golden Globe Awards while continuing to rock at sell-out shows the world over. Bruce has always remained true to his roots, often turning down offers from corporate advertisers wanting to use his music for profit. His music has truly captured the American spirit over the years, which is why he has remained a much-loved and consistently popular musician for such a long time. Away from his on-stage commitments he is an activist for equal rights and runs a charity called The Foundation which helps support war veterans and food banks.

The Boss is the best live performer ever!

by Spanish Johnny on 3/24/24Footprint Center - Phoenix

Bruce and the E street Band NEVER take a night off! They came onstage on time, played 2hrs and 50 minutes, with the Boss never taking a break. They changed several songs early in concert from when I saw him in Austin on this tour, which was great. But he kept to the theme of his most recent rock album, LETTER TO YOU. That is, looking back on his history, knowing its not going last forever, cherish your days, and we are all in this thing together. What I've enjoyed most in the 5 times I've seen him in this century, is taking many "E Street Newbies"to see him, and all are 100% converts!! And they all have come back for more! (I saw him 3 times in the 70's) Highlights of this show were playing all the classics, his interactions with Jake and the quality of the entire brass section, Bruce and Little Steven singing together, and a surprise playing of SPIRIT IN THE NIGHT off his very 1st album I'm signing off, and as the Boss says, "I'll see you in my dreams".

    Awesome and Awesome and inspiring

by DigDug on 3/24/24Footprint Center - Phoenix

Bruuuuuuuce still has it even after his health battles with his ulcers. He may not move like he used to, but he still has energy and great rapport with the audience. Phoenix, I’ve had chances to see him, but never did I regret not seen him play at the old veterans Memorial Coliseum in the 70s. Definitely a bucket list concertj

Concert = Excellent, Venue = Not good.

by Naomi Wolfe on 3/23/24Footprint Center - Phoenix

The sound was amazing! Bruce Springsteen was amazing! However, I paid over $800.00 for a ticket to be close to the stage and be able to see everything. The view was horrible. It didn't matter if we were all standing or all sitting. I could not see the stage at all. The stage was not high enough to give anyone more than a couple rows back on the floor a view of the concert. In addition, while the concert was played on screens above the crowd, they were rather small screens and did not in anyway make up for the fact that I paid over $800.00 for a concert that did not allow me to see the musicians on the stage. It was extremely disappointing. I've waited 40 years to see Bruce Springsteen in concert and treated myself to a ticket that was more than I could afford because this was something that was very important to me. He was incredible and amazing. The venue/stage setup was awful.

    Fabulous Show!

by NonniKD on 3/23/24Footprint Center - Phoenix

This was such a great concert! As expected, the joint (Footprint Center, Phoenix) was rocking...hard and loud, along with the band. They came out on time and sang their hearts out for a solid 2 1/2 hours. Bruce was amazing, as always, and surely doesn't show his age. The other band members were great, and there was a lot of joy on the stage! Jake Clemmons who replaced his uncle, Clarence Clemmons, is an amazing saxophonist who learned from the best and is really outstanding! If you get a chance to go, you should take it! And if you can get front row floor seats, they'll be worth it. Bruce was right there interacting with his fans many times. You don't see that too often. The stage actually steps down and goes right up to the first row!
