About

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are regarded as one of the very best live rock acts of all time. From humble New Jersey beginnings in 1972, they grew in popularity to become one of the true icons of American music. Hits such as ā€œBorn In The USAā€ and ā€œDancing In The Darkā€ cemented Bruce Springsteen as one of America's top popular rock vocalists. He's known for being one of the hardest-working acts in the industry, and concerts can regularly last three hours or more and tours often last years rather than months.
Bruce Springsteen began his musical career singing and playing in a number of bands in the New Jersey area in the mid-ā€˜60s. Influenced by the likes of Elvis Presley, the Beatles and Cream, his musical style was both a reflection of his own tastes and of his blue-collar working-class American roots. The mix of old-fashioned rock and roll with a more progressive, often politically minded lyrical style soon began to build a cult following for Springsteen. By 1972 he was signed to a deal with Columbia Records, along with the E Street Band. The band's members changed now and then over the years, but the core members were Danny Federici, Clarence Clemons, Garry Tallent, Roy Bittan and Max Weinberg. Together they released their first album, Greetings From Asbury Park NJ, in 1972.
While they enjoyed tremendous success in the late ā€˜70s and early ā€˜80s, they were launched into the megastar category with the release of Born In The USA in 1984. The album stormed the US charts, becoming one of the biggest-selling records of all time with over 30 million albums sold. Bruce Springsteen became an American pop-culture icon and the band enjoyed huge success worldwide with sold-out stadium tours and numerous top 10 singles.
In 1999 Bruce Springsteen was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame and over the years the act has won numerous Grammy and Golden Globe Awards while continuing to rock at sell-out shows the world over. Bruce has always remained true to his roots, often turning down offers from corporate advertisers wanting to use his music for profit. His music has truly captured the American spirit over the years, which is why he has remained a much-loved and consistently popular musician for such a long time. Away from his on-stage commitments he is an activist for equal rights and runs a charity called The Foundation which helps support war veterans and food banks.

Have seen Bruce in concert 5 times over many years. He has the ability to engage concert goers know matter how old he is or for that matter how old his concert goers are!He touches every single person at his concerts. I am just amazed how he can achieve that every time. His band is absolutely perfect! You can hear their experience in playing music which only enhances the Boss! They are such a team/ family delivery the very best to us. We waited for ever to go to this concert in Albany and they absolutely delivered! I cannot believe the all just kept entertaining us for almost 3 hours! Definitely worth the wait!!! Cannot say enough! THANK YOU šŸ™šŸ»

Great Energy but felt Short Changed

by GregB on 4/18/24MVP Arena - Albany

Overall it was great seeing Bruce at the MVP Arena in Albany NY. We had floor 1 seats. His energy at 74 is phenomenal! I'm not sure why, but there were numerous songs we couldn't here the actual words he was singing. Sound system problem? Playing for 2 hours and 40 minutes is impressive, but considering that during this tour he has played over 3 hours, it was a bit disappointing. I guess Albany NY doesn't deserve/rate more. We still loved seeing him.

    A night to remember

by John on 4/18/24MVP Arena - Albany

After waiting through 2 postponements we finally got to see Bruce in Albany!!!! It was certainly different from all the previous shows Iā€™ve seen over the years and you wonder if this is the last time he will tour. His set list was very different from previous years but I loved it and felt like it was one of the best concerts heā€™s put on. When he talks about band mates that have passed you can feel Bruceā€™s emotions and you start thinking about your own mortality. He made you think about life and he made the night such a great fun night!!!

    Amazing

by Lester on 4/18/24MVP Arena - Albany

Bruce is awesome, he played 28 songs and only stopped one time for a drink. I was tired singing along IDK how he does it. MVP arena is a good place to see a concert. It sounds good and the surrounding area had plenty of bars and restaurants to go to before the show. I will definitely go again

    Outstanding

by Gayle R on 4/18/24MVP Arena - Albany

Seen Springsteen a dozen or more times and this ranks in top 3! From the start of candy's room, to she's the one, Bobby Jean and my personal fav TRAPPED, I was left only wanting more. He played just under 3 hours, with no break, reminiscent of shows 20 years ago. This man, this band, NEVER disappoints!!!

    Fantastic

by DG on 4/18/24MVP Arena - Albany

At long last after a couple of postponements we had the opportunity to see Bruce and the E Street Band. It was tremendous! They gave their all. Bruce was amazing and Albany was treated to a Candy's Room into Adam Raised a Cain to start a show that did not let up.. The facility was great and parking was easy. If you get the chance....See him!
