BROODS IN CONCERT:
New Zealand's hottest new duo Broods are making a name for themselves in 2014 with the catchy electronic tunes of their eponymous debut EP. Although they just started playing shows under the moniker, the brother-sister duo's performances are mature and effortless as lead singer Georgia Nott sings hits like "Bridges" over her brother's pulsing beats and backing vocals. Siblings Georgia and Caleb Nott got their start performing together as teenagers, realizing they both wanted to pursue music full-time after dropping out of college in 2013. The duo worked with producer Joel Little (Lorde) on their self-titled EP, which was released in 2014 and has since generated major buzz around the band's music. Their hit single "Bridges" debuted at No. 8 on the New Zealand single charts and was certified gold, and their rich, pop-infused music is sure to make them an electro-pop sensation soon enough. Broods are on the road in 2014 for a string of highly anticipated shows, ready to perform their hits for fans lucky enough to get in early on a good thing.
This was my third time seeing Broods live and they’re amazing every time. It was a smaller and more intimate crowd which I absolutely loved. Can’t wait to see them next time they come to NYC!
The concert so awesome and i never seen before specially Georgia has angelic voice.
Broods were SO incredible. I love their music, and it was even better live. This was the best venue to see them- small enough to get a great view of the stage, and big enough to not feel too packed. I wish I could relive the experience again and again.
Broods are an amazing band to watch live. Georgia and Caleb are insanely talented- such a real treat! My only wish was that Ticketmaster would have been more clear- it said doors open at 7pm, Broods didn't come out until 9:20 and I was not a fan of the opening band. Please state when the main band will come out. Thank you!
The Broods have grown as a live band since they opened for Two Door Cinema. I hadn't really listened to Don't Feed the Pop Monster much before the concert as it was a shift in tone that I didn't like, but I still wanted to see them live because of their prior music. They were impressive live; their sound was great!. They got to crowd going, and it lasted the whole time. They basically played the whole new album - yep, and I didn't know it, because I wasn't sold on it. Well, now, I'm sold on it; I can't stop listening to Don't Feed the Pop Monster. It has become my favorite Broods' album. Truthfully, they are a great band to see in a club; be ready to dance!
This was such an amazing concert! Didn't get there super early but got the absolute best spot, Broods was great as always and Georgia's energy made the mood so fun. She made so much eye contact with the crowd which is a MUST in my opinion, I love venue's slanted floor because we didn't have to worry about tall people blocking our view of the stage.
Georgia's energy was contagious!! They sound just as brilliant live.
First of all, the music is SO well written!! That in itself makes the concert a 10/10 for me. But on top of that, Georgia's vocals were so impressive and her dancing was so fun! Just an amazing performance! I would 100% see them again if the opportunity presented itself!
Broods was absolutely perfect! I saw them at Osheaga last year, and this was so different, but still so amazing. Seriously unforgettable, the venue was very small and intimate. They played the perfect mix of their first and most recent albums. 10/10 would see again.
Broods is one of my favorite bands and getting to see them was perfect. My friend and I traveled 4 hours to see them and they didn't disappoint. I would totally recommend them. The next time they tour I will totally be there!
