    The best positive vibes ever!

by ProfPeterson on 11/22/22Tilles Center - Krasnoff Theater - Brookville

Brian Stokes-Mitchell is one of my favorite entertainers, he never disappoints an audience, not only because he is a talented singer, actor and dancer, but because he aims to please the audience and truly enjoys being onstage. It’s contagious to see someone having a good time onstage while engaging with the audience. He even had the lights up during a song in which he could single out individual women in the audience as if he were singing directly to them. Just charming, he just exudes positive energy and good will, and what a voice! The best thing is he can act well enough to bring the song lyrics to life, as he did with Billy Strayhorn’s “Lush Life” —- a truly amazing interpretation. Love him!

    Perfection

by Mr. C on 11/22/22Tilles Center - Krasnoff Theater - Brookville

Brian Stokes Mitchell is talent personified. Each song tells a story by the character of the piece even though they're all sung by Brian. He becomes King Arthur or Don Quixote or Tevye. He ages from a young man to an elder, without a change of make-up or costumes. He is a one of a kind performer who always fills your heart with joy.

    "The Impossible Dream"

by Barry G on 11/22/22Tilles Center - Krasnoff Theater - Brookville

Wow. Does Brian Stokes Mitchell connect to his audience especially in a small intimate theatre. From the first song to the final "impossible dream you felt he was singing to you only. The audience also got a glimpse of his human nature when he discussed how he got involved with singing "The Impossible Dream" during the pandemic. We need more talent like him.

Beautiful Night for a Beautiful Cause

by Weesner on 11/7/17Music Hall At Fair Park - Dallas

The Gala was fabulous! A wonderful array of activities before the presentation and then amazing performances by both Ms. McPhee and Mr. Stokes-Mitchell. I look forward to many more wonderful evenings at the Music Hall.

    Not Worth the Money

by KWAlexander on 11/7/17Music Hall At Fair Park - Dallas

The show was certainly not worth the money spent. Katherine McPhee displayed a very cute personality, but was just so-so as a singer. Mr. Stokes showed his Broadway talents, but couldn’t hold the audience. Many left during the show. He lost my group when he got political. I feel cheated. I wish I had cancelled my tickets when Bernadette Peters cancelled her performance.

Brian Stokes Mitchell has the BEST Voice Ever

by BeeElCee on 12/11/13Valley Performing Arts Center - Northridge

I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the show! He has the most wonderful baritone/bass voice. I was so glad he came back to the Valley Performing Arts Center again this year. I think the whole audience loved him and his performance as much as I did!

    Stokes Was Fabulous

by BroadwayBaby67 on 12/10/13Valley Performing Arts Center - Northridge

Having first seen Stokes in Ragtime at the Shubert Theater in L. A., again in Kiss Me Kate in N.Y., and at the Broad Stage in concert a couple of years ago, I think he is a sensational performer. This concert showed his amazing ability at both creating character and engaging an audience with song. His voice was pure, his patter interesting and intelligent. He is certainly a superior talent we are so lucky to have in the American theater today. The only moment he could have left out was his Christmas song in his encore. Unnecessary.

He is simply the best. No one comes close to him. His voice is unforgettable.
