BRANDI CARLILE IN CONCERT:

Alt-country sweetheart Brandi Carlile has crowned Billboard's Top Folk Albums chart twice since her 2005 debut, and it's easy to see why as she performs her heart-rending tunes in concert. Carlile is a world-class belter, and the perfect way her voice cracks when she goes big makes visceral tunes like "The Story" and "The Eye" all the more powerful. Country and folk are squarely in her wheelhouse, but she also dabbles in styles as diverse as rock, R&B, and blues, making for a dynamic concert experience anchored by her elegant songwriting and emotive voice. Whether she's performing songs from 2015's The Firewatcher's Daughter or making jaws drop with her soaring cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah", Carlile never fails to impress ticket buyers with her poise, gorgeous voice, and good-natured stage presence.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Brandi Carlile was born and raised in rural Washington state, where she began performing with her mother and brother at age eight. She taught herself to play guitar, and by her teens she was penning her own songs and singing backup for an Elvis impersonator. By her twenties she was performing in Seattle's music scene with her twin brothers, and in 2004 she signed with Columbia Records. Her self-titled 2005 debut topped Billboard's Folk Albums chart, introducing fans to her powerful voice and heart-on-sleeve songwriting. She teamed up with legendary producer T Bone Burnett for her 2007 sophomore album The Story, with stellar results -- the album peaked at No. 10 on the rock charts and scored a breakthrough hit with its title track. Since then Carlile has toured extensively and released four more acclaimed albums including 2011's Live at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony and 2015's The Firewatcher's Daughter.

Brandi took us on a magical journey

by Mozey on 3/27/24The Anthem - Washington

Brandi Carlile, the twins and Sistastrings were so fantastic. It was loose, it was masterful, the whole crowd was part of the night. Give and take energy, and just plain celebration together. Respect for these artists. For me it was a religious experience.

    Best concert ever!

by Jackie C on 3/25/24The Anthem - Washington

Brandi Carlile is one of the best entertainers ever. Vocals with the twins are always amazing but add SistaStrings and you are in for a real treat. And Brandi was very talkative since her she had just participated in a Library of Congress ceremony honoring her hero, Elton John. Loved her stories about her family, Evangeline and growing up with an alcoholic father. Brandi Carlile is a national treasure.

    Brandi

by Laurie on 3/25/24The Anthem - Washington

It's my third time to attend a concert at Anthem. Different experience this time. Much improved as I enjoyed being up high as opposed to on the floor. I realize some folks(especially younger people) love standing the entire time. They find joy in standing, moving around, singing and dancing. That doesn't work for everyone. I found the box seats very spacious and tiered well and also clean. The staff (ticket scanners, ushers, bar tenders etc) to be very very friendly and helpful.

Sit DOWN people!!! You are SO rude!

by First time at The Anthem on 3/25/24The Anthem - Washington

Brandi Carlisle was amazing, if only we could have seen her!!!! We were in row L so our seats were excellent or so we thought!! Despite having great seats for rows A-K, the fans stood the entire time, constantly wiggly and making out with each other. So RUDE for those of us who actually wanted to see the show not just listen blindly. The first 3 rows and balcony seating had great seats and view…not so for the rest of us!!! Why have seats or better yet, pay for good seats when it was a standing view concert!???

    Amazing as always

by LT on 3/25/24The Anthem - Washington

Brandi is just as flawless in concert as she is on her albums. She puts in a great show and still makes it feel like she’s playing just for you. The Hanseroth twins and Sista Strings were amazing. They blended so well!

    by Jill-o on 3/25/24The Anthem - Washington

I was so happy with my seat and the comfort it provided. Also, being on the second level allowed me to sit and be comfortable throughout the entire performance. Brandi is always sensational and always exceeds expectations! It was a great time!

MUST SEE BRANDI--It's an experience you won't forget

by Kim B on 3/25/24The Anthem - Washington

This was such a great concert. The venue was amazing, first time there. Love the Twins opening! And Brandi and the twins, all alone on the stage was an incredible experience. It was a very coffee-house type vibe and felt very intimate, even though the venue is a good size. And then the amazing surprise of Sista Strings--OMG. All in all, one of the best concerts I've seen. All heart!

    Best Brandi Ever

by Woody & Cakes on 3/25/24The Anthem - Washington

In years of following Brandi, and seeing many of her concerts, this was the best. This was the second night of two sellouts, and she chose to play the identical set list. It was two and a half hours of music, from her earlier songs up to what she just performed days earlier at the Library of Congress Gershwin Award ceremony for Elton John. She was joined by “the twins” for the earlier part of the concert, then SistaStrings joined as well for the rest of the show. Start to finish, it was a superb evening.
