I went to a lacrosse game and a carnival broke out

by carnivalbarker on 4/6/11TD Garden - Boston

My first and last experience with box lacrosse! This is not a sporting event it is like going to a carnival or circus or fair. I thought the only sport that played music during play was basketball but in box lacrosse they take it to a whole different level. You can't hear the referee's whistle because the music is so loud and I can only imagine what the players hear when they are trying to listen to a teammate when they make a pass. Oh yeah the fighting! There were several fights in the game I attended and it reminded me of UFC with sticks after watching the first three quarters. Sad because I think there is a lot skill involved with the sport but the music announcers and chaos ruin the sport.

Lacrosse is a great sport!!! But Honestly allowing the fighting like Saturday night is a distraction to the game and certianly does not promote the sport among young athletes. Leave the fighting to MMA.

we had a great time at the game. The Blazers won - so that was a definite plus. The only dislike I had was the continuous loud music/annoying announcer. I'm used to hearing the crowd and the players during play - not being distracted by some guy telling me 'it's time to cheer' - I know when to cheer, I don't need instructions.

    Intense at a reasonable price.

by iSteve on 2/14/11TD Garden - Boston

Good competition. Intensity was there (hitting, hustle, fights, etc.). Lots of goals on both sides. A descent size passionate crowd. If you can't afford or find good Bruins tickets, this is a reasonable alternative.

    Fun night w/ the kids

    by Laxfan28 on 2/14/11TD Garden - Boston

Great night out w/ the kids. From the high 5s from the players at the beginning to the autograph signing at the end of the night my 12 year old was in Lax heaven. An affordable, fun night for all.

Blazers as good as I remember

    by Laxfan77 on 2/14/11TD Garden - Boston

Used to go to the Blazers back in their former incarnation back at the old Garden when I was in high school. The new version was just as good. Good family atmosphere, exciting lacrosse action and would definitely go back again.

watch out NHL NLL bringing back what you lost

by lisbonlaxfan on 2/13/11TD Garden - Boston

Best value for dollar if you like old school hockey you will love a box lacrosse game this is the only professional sports event that I can think of that you can still get 4 tickets for under $100.00 higher scoring and more fights then the NHL good old fashion family entertainment the NLL is really trying to make this family entertainment with all the raffles and side entertainment; clowns making balloon animals , photo opportunities with scorch and the sparks everyone I have ever brought to a game who has never been quickly become fans even the ones who never heard of lacrosse
