About

A true "comic's comic," Bobby Slayton, often referred to as "The Pitbull of Comedy", has been performing his own intense style of stand-up comedy for over 20 years, becoming one of the best known, respected, and energetic comics working today.
Audiences around the country may recognize Bobby from his scene-stealing roles in movies such as "Get Shorty", "Ed Wood", "Bandits" and, most recently, "Dreamgirls".  He's been seen on dozens of television shows including "The Tonight Show" and "Politically Incorrect".   Bobby's many appearances on HBO have included "Comic Relief" and his own stand-up special.   He was a series regular on the HBO series "Mind of a Married Man", and played Joey Bishop opposite Ray Liotta and Joe Mantegna in the critically acclaimed film "The Rat Pack".
Slayton's distinctive gravelly voice has often been heard on animated shows like "Dr. Katz'" and "Family Guy", as well as many popular radio shows across the country including Howard Stern, Kevin & Bean, and Tom Leykis. The NY Daily News called Slayton "Armed and Dangerous" and the Las Vegas Review Journal pointed out that "Slayton's refusal to comprise his art has always made him worth a special trip."

Like the small theater atmosphere, difficult to find.

I like Bobby and his sarcastic remarks on his jokes, as we have been getting older we can relate to the aches and pains of getting old.

    Bobby is a hilarious!

by leanintower on 10/8/19Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

I've been seeing Bobby Slayton off and on for 30 years. If you have a good sense of humor, you will not be disappointed. Bobby is an equal opportunity offender, so if you are sensitive, Bobby probably won't appeal to you. He has his own material and is very improvisational too. I laughed from beginning to end. I always look forward to seeing Bobby when he is in town.

    Never The Same Show!

by Lorcha on 10/8/19Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

Bobby Slayton killed it last Saturday night! He was crisp, quick, and he always shocks the room. He may not be for everyone, but I’ve been a fan for 30 years. Truly funny man who loves playing with his audience. Stays progressive with current events. 5 star!

    Hilarious

by MusicFan556698030 on 2/4/18South Point Casino - Las Vegas

What a show. One of the funniest stand up sets I have ever seen and I watch a lot of comedy. This is my fourth time seeing Bobby and it was by far the funniest. Bobby is an old school comic who doesn't pull any punches. Not for the easily offended but great if you can take a joke and like humor that is rough around the edges. Great jokes and crowd work too. Now in his 60s Bobby still can rock the stage.

    Worst comedian, dated jokes

by sonah on 1/22/18Punchline SF - San Francisco

The employees at Punchline SF told us Bobby Slayton specifically asks them to seat minorities (blacks, latinos, gays, etc) next to the stage so he can poke fun at them during his "comedy" show. If you're non-white and want to be verbally abused, this is your guy! Otherwise, save your money and don't support this old man.

No one show the same with Bobby!

by lorcha on 10/19/17Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

With Bobby, you have to be ready for anything! His knack for playing off the audience is his trademark. No boundaries, very Don Rickles-ish. Love him! I have been following him for 30 years in SF. Love him or hate him! Keep bringing him back!
