    Bobby McFerrin is wonderful!

    by Concertgoer99999 on 8/22/18The Wilbur - Boston

Bobby McFerrin and “Voices”—the four other improv singers with him—are wonderful to hear and watch. The audience was primed, too—I guess they knew to expect audience participation. The entire concert was improvised, created in the moment, and fun. I kept looking for the cymbals and drums, finally realized the singers were doing vocal percussion. This is an experience not to be missed! I’m already looking for another Bobby McFerrin performance in the US!

If you have a chance to see Bobby McFerrin live...

by ZLBDAD on 8/20/18The Wilbur - Boston

Go! The Wilbur is run down and the seats were cramped. The theater is small enough to you felt connected to the show.

    A true master

by JohnHyman on 8/19/18The Wilbur - Boston

Bobbie McFerrin is an exceptional performer. At this performance he was nicely supported by 4 others from his Voices ensemble, and at times they provided fun and amusement, other times melancholy and emotion. The size of this venue kept it rather intimate but the seating arrangement was cramped and staff people milling about during the show was often distracting.

    Great concert beginning to end

by JudyEastie on 8/18/18The Wilbur - Boston

I read somewhere Newsday's description of Bobbi McFerrin's Circlesongs music--it describes the music perfectly. "If the world is a global village, then this is its local folk music.” –NEWSDAY Surprising sounds, rhythms, pure joy, interactions, humor, pathos, a universal composite of musical sounds and songs. I loved every minute. Each musician brought his or her unique approach to the music. You won't hear anything like it anywhere else.

    Good

by Showthyme on 8/18/18The Wilbur - Boston

He was good. The “band” was good as well. However, Bobby did relatively little of the performance . I had hoped he would do some of his more complicated presentations like I have seen on YouTube , but it was not to be. It was good entertainment but he could have done better.

    great music, emotional experience

by Anonymous on 2/2/16Valley Performing Arts Center - Northridge

The first time Bobby and his very talented son Taylor have performed a whole show together, proved to be flawless musically, and very moving for me and my family. My son and I listened to Bobby's recordings a lot in the car when he was a kid in need of transporting here and there. Now, the only thing missing in this show was the ability to bring my grandson, too young to sit quietly yet, but he would have LOVED it! Tell Bobby and Taylor to do a small show for families next time.

    Classic, but repetitive

by Cousinmark on 2/1/16Valley Performing Arts Center - Northridge

Bobby McFerren is a musical genius. But 90 minutes of beatbox over jazz bebop and scat was just too much repetition. The show needs diversity and variety.
