For the last 5 years I have gone to legends at San Diego, rather than Long Beach. I prefer the lineup you get in one fantastic day, the music is non stop the Venders, the overall vibes I personaly get are off the hook. I have first heard my first reggae was on a radio station from Compton KJLH on sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm was all reggae. I will go to San Diego Legends for as long as you put it on and I am able to drag my old sorry ass to it JAHRASTAFARI for now

Rating: 1 out of 5 Ledgends of Reggae Was Terrible!!!
by Slitherin on 2/23/11Valley View Casino Center formerly San Diego Sports Arena - San DiegoMy impression may be skewed by the fact that I left after the first few groups played their sets, but for the time I was at the concert it was terrible. The arena was not very crowded, and the sound system was so loud it was painful and gave everyone in my group a migraine. Things got off to a poor start by everyone being kept outside for a long time in line in the freezing cold. I thought there was going to be a riot if they did not let people in. Things went downhill after we were let in with a yelling speech about the Kumayay Indians and how badly "the man" was treating them, and the lady who was the MC seemed like an angry black revolutionary. She described Peter Tosh as the "Malcolm X" of reggae and described Peter Tosh's son as "the son of Malcolm X". Really? I wanted a nice, mellow reggae experience with an atmosphere of "one love". This was not that experience.
