Blue Sky Riders - The Real Thing!

by Seagal98198 on 10/24/13Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - Bow

Blue Sky Riders had the audience eating out of their hands. Most people come to see Kenny Loggins but they are quickly converted to love Georgia Middleman and Gary Burr's antics. If you like real music, real harmony and outstanding song writing this band is for you.

    Blue Sky Perfection

by VanHolm on 10/22/13Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - Bow

Very complex music to enjoy so easily. Wonderful songwriting presented with only the best sound experience. A great trading of singing and song experiences. Very rich harmonies given freely with all the compassion an artist can have. A mixture of Southern Blues and Country Rock. Very acoustic in nature but electric in sound. The artists simply marvel at each others work. A stunning presentation of truth in music. Very enjoyable.

Blue Sky Riders are so awesome. Best concert!

by Bruin1974 on 10/22/13Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - Bow

Saturday night at the Skagit will be hard to top for BSR. They were so fantastic and theacoustic section with Kenny, Georgia and Gary just playing some of their own music was the best. Gary is so talented and Georgia , wow, what a voice. And of course Kenny is fabulous. I cannot wait til they come back. In fact I would go just about anywhere to see them. Have been this excited about a band since Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

    Blue Sky Riders concert

by ladybug1033 on 10/22/13Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - Bow

What a fantastic new band. The evening was a complete blast, with their great music, fun dialogue and personal touch. Kenny Loggins, always a star interacts with such fun with Georgia Middleman and Gary Burr. He even called them 'George and Gracie'.

    Wow, not kenny Loggins

by FearandLoathing on 10/21/13Skagit - Bow

So I went to see Blue Sky Riders drug along by my wife who wanted to see Kenny Loggins. not knowing what to expect. I was treated to 3 great performers who had a back-up band that could have toured on their own. Each lead musician has written hits only Kenny Loggins seemed to have gone on tour playing his own music. I am a fan of alternative rock, not country/western. I was bit worried when I learned Gary Burr and Georgia Middleman were of Nashville origins. I am a fan of singer song writers like John Hiatt and Lyle Lovett, these guys fell into this genre. It reminded me of seeing Bodidly and Ron Wood at a side stage with 100 people at the Arizona State Fair... The next time I saw either was in a stadium with 40,000 other people. Seeing this bad rock a small venue is quite a treat. Their Nashville twang sounds very Monday Night footballish, but they go blues and rock enough that I can see them crossing over. The trio has great chemistry, each can lead both instrumentals and vocals and the band behind them have impressive skills themselves. Together they have a big sound that blends a little rock, some blues, and country western type songs into a unique sound that rocked the house!

    Blue Sky Riders

by BSQRD on 10/21/13Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - Bow

Having bought tickets to surprise my wife with Kenny Loggins, I was just going along for the ride. Once the show started I was more than pleasantly surprised at the trio including Georgia Middlenam & Gary Burr - They produced some rock-folk enspired music I truly enjoyed. A full two hour non-intermission concert that was well done. The band playing with them did not get near enough credit - Fantastic playing!!! Our first time at the Skagit Casino - A small venue that holds approx 450 with good sound and very friendly staff. The only bad seats in the house would be the front two rows at outside ends as they are direcly in front of speaker stacks.

Blue Sky Riders - Don't Miss Seeing Them Live!!!

by Seagal98198 on 5/16/13Skagit Valley Casino - Bow

Every now and then something special comes along. When I first heard Blue Sky Riders I immediately became hooked on their intricate harmonies. They write their own songs and each one is amazing in its own unique way. "Finally Home" is a complete collection of great songs and it is impossible to pick just one favorite. Don't miss the opportunity to see this band perform live - their chemistry is AMAZING!

I was very excited to see Kenny Loggins. My mistake was in not knowing he had formed a new group. I really was looking forward to hearing his old stuff. They only played 2 old songs, all the rest was new. While I enjoyed the evening because I was with my family for my birthday, I have to admit that I was disappointed. (I didn't tell my family) The new stuff was ok enough but it's just not the old. Sorry Kenny.

    Blue Sky Riders were awesome!!!!!!

    by Joey0503 on 9/21/12Keswick Theatre - Glenside

We have been Kenny Loggins fans for years. We purchased their three song CD and were blown away. The three voices together are incredible. We love "Little Victories" by Georgia because my wife has MS and it has been a struggle for her. But the words of that song really hit home. We would definitely see them again. They are a first class act.
