Blondie released its first European albums in the mid-1970s, but it wasnāt until 1978 that the band got international attention with the release of Parallel Lines. During the next several years, the band released a string of hits, including āAtomic,ā āCall Meā and its biggest hit, the iconic āHeart of Glass.ā In 1982, Deborah Harry began to pursue a successful solo career, but the band reformed in 1987. Blondie was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2006, the year of its 30th anniversary. That same year, it released a best-of album, Sound & Vision, followed by Panic of Girls in 2009. The band's 10th album Ghosts of Download will be released in January 2014. The new album has already garnered a popular single, āA Rose by Any Name,ā and enthusiastic ticket holders got the opportunity to hear several of the band's newest singles during Blondieās European tour in 2013. Recently, Debbie Harry delighted her millions of fans by announcing that the band will do a promotional tour for the new album in 2014 ā although concert dates have not yet been announced.
