Finally glad I got to see this Band

by Uge1786 on 9/19/17Blue Hills Bank Pavilion - Boston

Made it for half of Garbage and should've seen them from the beginning they are really great, sound and performance wise. Have never seen Blondie, but new material is great and so are they did all their hits as well new stuff and blended it incredibly well. Clem Burke sounded and played fantastic and hasn't lost a thing to age , nor has Debbie Harry .

    Blondie best show ever!

by KittyBoo22 on 8/16/17South Side Ballroom - Dallas

I've been to some really good concerts but this beets them all. We were close to the stage by the speakers on the left and were blown away. Blondie is not only an iconic band they're quite good as a band. Well rehearsed and professional. The drummer was impressively top notch, of course the whole band is talented. Debbie Harry was energetic and fun. Her voice cracked a few times but she is over 70! Can you believe that? Still belting it out after all these years. The last song was a punk version of the Titanic love song... and it was good. They had great visuals too. There were 2 opening acts, Deep Valley, a new band of 2 women who were quite good. The other was Garbage who were good instrumentally but the lead singer was too talky and very negative. I'm going to see Blondie when they come back next year and get there early so I can get right by the stage.

Garbage sounded tight and Blondie was super fun

by PoBoySandwich on 8/16/17South Side Ballroom - Dallas

Garbage played and sounded very tight together. Loved their light show. Blondie finished it out with a fun dance party.

Debbie's voice is clear and crisp

by Annieval on 8/15/17South Side Ballroom - Dallas

The band Blondie was the only part of the show I saw as parking at the venue was a nightmare. I wish there could've been a better set up. The VIP versus general admission idea is not a good one for concerts. I paid $55 and really just heard her never really saw her. That was disappointing. But the band was amazing. They played three encore sounds.

    FUN FUN FUN

by Dani666Rusti on 8/14/17Hard Rock Live - Hollywood

First of all, props to the Venue! Haven't been to Hard Rock for a show in quite a while. The entire exterior was under construction, but the employees were so friendly and helpful, we barely noticed the giant cranes and mounds of dirt. Our seats were fab and the AC was blasting! LOVED IT! Both bands (and the opener) all sounded great. Shirley looks hotter than ever and her voice was on point! Blondie was really fun and the audience enjoyed singing along. Good time for sure!

Recycled Garbage and Iconic Blondie Rock the HRC

by Masuca on 8/14/17Hard Rock Live - Hollywood

I now see Garbage in a brand new light and feel slightly stupid for not getting the message years ago. In my defense I am a melodic person who is into the rhythm of a song before I decipher the lyrics. Admittedly, most times the rhythm is all I need. When Shirley Manson relayed aspects of her troubled youth and inspiration for "making it" I was floored. Every old song sounded new after that revelation. I have been listening to their music ever since with fresh ears. Blondie was the second concert I ever attended back in 1979 (Belmont Racetrack NY. Nick Lowe and Rockpile opening). I have seen them multiple times and continue to keep up with their new material. Debbie is as beautiful as ever, Clem Burke beats those drums, still, like a man possessed, and Chris Stein rocks with a purposeful calm the betrays the hard edged rock sound his guitar puts out. The new members of the band are a fine fit and give Blondie's new material a familiar but, fresh sound. Keep Rockin' Blondie and Garbage!

    Awesome show!

by tidoublegrr on 8/14/17Hard Rock Live Orlando - Orlando

I personally liked Garbage better, but that's just personal preference. Blondie was still an incredible show. It's amazing to realize Deborah Harry is 72!! Maybe she's not the performer she was in 1977 (don't know I never saw them back them, I was too young :) ) but she still put on a great performance. Then if you do the math, Deborah Harry is actually old enough to be Shirley Manson's (age 50) mother... LOL. All this is making me feel so old... Let's leave it at "Awesome performance by both bands!" and Deap Vally too!
