Blackberry Smoke on Tour

Though they've had their biggest success in the country market, the guys in Blackberry Smoke are rock 'n' rollers at heart. When they hit the concert stage, that becomes immediately apparent, but of course, so does the twangy side of their sound. Ultimately, what comes across is a roots-rocking blend that incorporates the influences of classic Southern rock, '70s/'80s heartland rockers and yes, a dash of modern country. And whether they're delivering a chugging good-time tune like "Rock and Roll Again" or a reflective ballad like "Let Me Down Easy," what comes through the loudest is the band's authenticity. These ol' boys are the real deal, playing it their own way with no nonsense and no rock-star moves. And since they do exactly what they feel, don't be surprised if that extends to covers of songs by their favorite artists such as Little Feat, The Grateful Dead or Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

Blackberry Smoke in Concert

Blackberry Smoke has always done things their own way, rising to stardom by building an audience from the ground up, remaining resolutely independent and staying true to their roots. The band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2000, with singer/guitarist Charlie Starr, guitarist Paul Jackson, and brothers Richard and Brit Turner on bass and drums, respectively, and that lineup remained intact into their breakthrough and beyond, adding keyboardist Brandon Still in 2009. They released their debut album, Bad Luck Ain't No Crime, in 2003, but it wasn't until their third album, 2012's The Whippoorwill, that Blackberry Smoke started achieving major commercial traction. Their next record, 2015's Holding All the Roses, reached No. 1 on the country charts as well as No. 29 on the pop tally, underscoring the band's pan-genre appeal. Their homegrown blend of Southern rock and country has remained authentic and untainted through it all.

    Blackberry Smoke is AWESOME live!

by Deb on 4/2/24Roxian Theatre - Pittsburgh

Frontman Charlie Starr & the Blackberry Smoke band rocked the Roxy in Pittsburgh PA! Charlie is a great guitarist & his country rock band is very accomplished. Fans know all the songs. We hope they return to Pittsburgh & Pompano Beach FL. Duane Betts opened in Pittsburgh. Son of Dickie Betts (Allman Brothers), he's really great, backed by a really good band. Don't miss Blackberry Smoke or Duane Betts.

Fantastic Band, great venue, WILD people

by Edboy on 4/1/24TempleLive Cleveland Masonic - Cleveland

The band was absolutely fantastic. Charlie’s voice was superb, just as the rest of the band was. The opener, Soul Miners Union, was amazing as well. The venue was great, entry and re-entry were easy, and the staff were wonderful. The ONLY negative I could describe has absolutely NOTHING to do with the band or the venue - some of the people attending were WILD. I was in the GA pit, dead center and in front. There was a minor scuffle, which ended up tumbling into my guest and I. Then, for the rest of the concert, some yahoo kept yelling and jumping at inappropriate times during the show… I know it’s a rock concert, I’ve been to upwards of 100 shows, but this feller was OBNOXIOUS. In the middle of an acoustic song, Azalea, when all were listening intently, came a barrage of “WOOOO! YEAHH!!” from the hyena standing directly behind me. Same guy was being a little too “friendly” to a couple of the women at the show, to the point that one literally had said to me “that guy is creeping me out”. To sum up - GREAT band, GREAT venue, MOSTLY good people. Would definitely come back for both the band and the venue.

    Electric Smoke

by Bryan on 4/1/24TempleLive Cleveland Masonic - Cleveland

Charlie Starr and the boys lit up the Cleveland night with an electric performance. I was awestruck! Wishing them all the best for the remainder of the grueling tour ahead of them.

What a great show by Blackberry smoke

by Bigam on 4/1/24TempleLive Cleveland Masonic - Cleveland

It was memorable for sure! What an awesome show and every song was tight and to the tee. Charlie, Benji and all the others collaborated to throw together the ultimate. I wish more people were able to sing along like we all did for "One Horse Town."Goosebumps and the love poured out for the loss of a great drummer , God rest your soul Britt.

    Amazing

by Kristi on 4/1/24TempleLive Cleveland Masonic - Cleveland

The show was great. The seats could be a bit bigger though. My hops didn't fit, and my knees were crammed against the seats in front of me. The band was outstanding as always.
